View Full Version : Is it possible to "jiggle" the external view ?

I have a question about external view .
( by external view I mean : looking at your own aircraft , flying , from outside )

As it is now , the external view is rather "fixed" on the aircraft .
It is as if the camera is actually connected to the aircraft with an invisible rod .

I wonder , is it possible to make the aircraft you're looking at to "jiggle" a bit ?

I mean , in real life you get this effect , sitting in an aircraft , looking through
a camera towards another aircraft flying next to yours.
Because of the small differences in speed , altitude , height of the 2 aircraft , the
aircraft you're looking at through the camera does not remain "fixed" to the centre of the camera frame .
It moves a bit in all directions , randomly .

I know You can get this effect ( more or less ) in IL2FB when there are at least 2 aircraft :
- 1) the aircraft you're looking at
- 2) a second aircraft to "hold" the camera

But is it possible to get this effect with only 1 aircraft ?

Lock on from LOMAC has such a option .
Is it possible in IL2FB ? ( with only 1 aircraft )

If not , it would be nice to have this .
Does anyone know if something like this has already been mentioned/suggested in Olegs ready room ?

NO you cannot get the jiggy cam effect in FB without an external program used for the movies the guys make like after effects and animation shop. The funny thing about that is LOAMC has a built in jiggy cam for every cam in the game http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

If you are flying with a wingman, view his plane with Shift+F2, then pan out to your A/C and you have your effect. I wish that this existed as a feature too, but it doesn't. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

That's a really nice feature in LOMAC.

Hopefully air-to-air wobbly externals will be a part of the Battle of Britain engine, it looks excellent.

It's called TrackerIR2 and it will set you back $100 from www.edimensional.com (http://www.edimensional.com) if you order as a retrun customer (no questions asked there).

I have been flying with it for 3 months and yesterday i had only 1/2 hour to play so started up in a hurry and forgot to turn on IR2.
Boy did i have some claustrophobic moments even on the runway trying to take off.

Enjoy
