View Full Version : Oleg, Please Please consider NEW MULTIPLAYER GAME RULE!

I want new multiplayer rule , provided game syste ( not decide among player).
The Rule is like FPS Multiplayer's, for example CounterStrike, Call of Duty, GhostRecone ,etc...
It is called TeamSuvival.
When players join game, they choose team(red or blue or ..) and plane first. and they must wait ending round. if round ends, players can join in game.
Game starts, the round is over when one side team's planes are destroyed (include get out plane) or time limit be over(15min , 30min,,,). Defeated Player becomes observer mode (Flying Player cant use external view).
If there is this rule, we can play very interesting and exciting game any server in any time!(though we dont join clan and flight team!!)

hopefully the last player won't hide in a far corner of the map

I think it's a wonderful idea though. I'm sure someone has thought of this gametype before. Why wasn't it put in place? It would be great fun.

Interesting idea - though players waiting in the lobby may get bored and leave, unless they have a spectator mode to use.

I'd also like to see an option to specify the number of each plane type a side has (just a refinement of the current planes/pilot allocation) - to simulate limited assets at an airfield.
This limit could be applied as either a total for the mission or the number of the type available to fly at the same time (probably already been put forward).

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

NO COOP.
COOP doesnt have flexibility and freedom.
the number of Plane , airport ,timelimit and etc... are decided by mission.And the mission must be made by anyone...
dont like it...

Hate to say it, but I think it's an awful idea. As an option, sure, (e.g. FBD's deathkick) but the whole point of a DF server is the flexibility. Like someone said above, coops already allow for "rounds". Just because an idea works in an FPS does not mean it will work in a flight sim.

FPS games are much quicker than flightsims - a 'round' in a game like Counterstrike is alot shorter than would be possible in a dogfight server game.
