Remember awhile back on the Lock On forum when I said that an IL2FB screenshot could never compare to a LOMAC one.........well I was way wrong big time. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif I just got AEP and played around with my graphics settings some more, I neglected to do this much before, and I was blown away http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/53.gif Holy **** this sim has atmosphere!!!!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif It is gorgeous. When I jump into the IL2 world now it is like putting on a good fitting coat or a favorite pair of old good fitting shoes. The feeling of immmersion is substantial and just plain fun. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Not wanting to intrude - but -
Run it on perfect mode http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif under OpenGL
- ingame hardware settings http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Then exit, open conf.ini in the main FB folder with Notepad...
Find the entries at the end under the OpenGL header that say Forest= etc and change them to
Forest=3
Water=2
Sky=2

make conf.ini file read/only (right click in explorer - properties - set the tag) - sometimes it's overwritten...

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif look at the trees near rivers etc http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
get low http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And try the pacific map with these settings http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

TIP: Use FMB http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
zoom in on map - set time http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif - then press enter (3D view) http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif look around change weather/time/map accordingly http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Question: Did you back-up your files?
Answer: I didn't know they had a reverse...

Don't mind the intrusion at all thanks for the tip, but when I tried it there was no land visible, just a light blue color. What causes this?
