Now before I go into a bit more detail I need to clarify two things (this section of the post maybe deleted at a later date).

1) Firstly I am aware of the following thread Give your IDEAS for the game
(http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1688684-Give-your-IDEAS-for-the-game). Whilst this thread is handy, in-depth city ideas may seem out of place when compared to smaller suggestions in the thread. If people think this thread is unnecessary we can always close it.
2) Also I'm aware in the following post (http://bgegame.com/2017/06/09/cityscapes-ganesha-inspirations/) in which the dev team request for some location ideas. Whilst for now it might be wise to post your city ideas in the comments of the article, in the long-term a topic like this will be necessary.

Alright with the boring stuff out of the way, lets talk about locations.

Basically if you have been following Beyond Good & Evil 2 since E3 2017 (if not earlier), you are aware that Ancel has emphasised the importance of exploration and locations in the game. This thread allows you to express an in-depth description of your ideal locations. It appears that the architecture for cities/areas in Beyond Good & Evil 2 are heavily influenced by civilisations of both the present and the past. Keep that in mind when you're posting a location.

Anyway I already have an idea for a city however I'll give someone else the benefit of being the first suggestion.

Happy brainstorming!

I would like to see something like the japanese electronics city Akihabara.

If there is anything you need about electronics you get it there. And it's a fun place too.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akihabara
Very well known place to get anything you want.
I easily could imagine such a place with multiple levels and skybridges for the game. Maybe with bridges like Bioshock infinite that fly around or something.

I already did a long post about it right here :

With few of my ideas. I won't repost it but go take a look and complete it if you want :)

Name: Crarvey

Architectural Inspirations: Poor areas of Scotland and Ireland. In particular Paisley

Historical Inspirations: The IRA during both The Troubles and Easter Rising

Population: Vast majority live in poverty, no specific animal as a race

How the city looks: Crarvey isn’t actually a city but a large town on a planet controlled by a rival force which for now I will call The Collaboration (not a fan of making up names). Crarvey is surrounded by healthy paddocks and is isolated from the near cities owned by The Collaboration. There is one huge high-rise housing estate and some cheap housing opposite it. The population is clustered, with the housing estate containing most of the population. Amongst the cheap housing is a lot of neglected and abandoned buildings. The cheap housing is similar to housing estates in Ireland. Here are some images to help illustrate Crarvey

http://i64.tinypic.com/nwio7k.png
The first picture is the best picture to illustrate it, however the high-rise is significantly bigger, and there is more housing around it.

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/10/19/article-2467100-18CD259F00000578-361_634x422.jpg

http://i66.tinypic.com/fcv1nc.png

What is occurring in the town: The town is currently having an internal war. The Collaboration are wanting the nearest city, Utropolis (not a fan of the name as well), to grow and sees Crarvey as potential land for its rapid expansion.

Initially, The Collaboration tried to occupy and control Crarvey. However, a militia called Crarvey Patriot Force (CPF) would prevent The Collaboration controlling the town.

The Collaborations’ current strategy is to manipulate and share propaganda amongst citizens of Crarvey by promising more jobs and security, if the town is owned by The Collaboration. This isn’t the reality as the further you live from the CBD of the Utropolis the cheaper the housing. Forcing Crarvey to become even more of a ghetto. The propaganda has had some success in Crarvey as well, as a new militia has preached The Collaborations’ lies. The militia go by the name, Crarvey City Saviours (CCS).

Both Crarvey Patriot Force and Crarvey City Saviours are killing innocents and causing bloodshed when in conflict with each other.

Crarvey City Saviours headquarters is at a dead end amongst the cheap housing next to the high-rise. It is heavily guarded and only a few whom are not associated with the militia are allowed in. If you enter without their permission you are shot instantly. It is heavily fortified with guards positioned all along the street. If the protagonist gains access to the territory at some stage in the game, guards and residence will be eyeing the individual as paranoia is thriving at this dead end.

Crarvey City Saviours also have some territory in a section of the high-rise apartments, this location is where most of the conflict occurs between the militias.

On the other hand, Crarvey Patriot Force do not have a single HQ. However, meetings, deals and plans are made in sympathisers’ apartments within the high-rise. The reason for a change of location constantly is because amongst their arm forces we see spies working for The Collaboration and plenty of wired rooms. Also to note, at the top of the housing estate is armed snipers working for Crarvey Patriot Force 24/7.

One of the main characters the protagonist comes across in Crarvey is one of the original members of the Crarvey Patriot Force. This member feels disillusioned and isn’t a fan of current CPF practices. Firstly, he doesn’t support CPF killing innocent civilians, as during his prime the Crarvey Patriot Force only killed members of The Collaboration whom tried to occupy the town. He also has an issue with how some member are earning funds for CPF. This being that CPF members are working with the Rinesdale Mob to help distribute H2.0 and help ship/sell guns. It is obvious to members of CPF that the Rinesdale Mob do not care for the cause, yet at times CPF members are hired as hitmen and sometimes themselves are prioritising crime then fighting for the militia.

With militias aside, Crarvey has plenty of other problems. The high-rise apartments suffer severe overcrowding and have some poor third-world conditions. Unemployment is also high. Despite this many individuals attempt to create a form of passive community.

As mentioned before, there is also a drug epidemic in Crarvey, particularly one drug called H2.0. As a result, syringes are scattered on the ground of Crarvey and you can see people injecting drugs in public. Children at the age of twelve are becoming hooked to H2.0 and are getting involved with either petty crime or working at a street level for the Rinesdale Mob. Children not addicted to the drug tend to either join the Crarvey Patriot Force (majority living in the high-rise apartments) or Crarvey City Saviours. Yet after joining the militia, many develop an addiction to H2.0 to relieve the pain of war.

H2.0 has also had a huge impact on health for those living in Crarvey. Poor hygiene through injecting H2.0 has caused many viruses to spread rampantly. In particular a modern untreatable virus similar to HIV is spreading, with many children born with the disease and others becoming infected in unfortunate ways. Unlike HIV the virus survives a couple of hours after leaving the body and can be spread through saliva, blood and well you know the rest. Both militias believe those infected have been punished by god for being sinful. As a result, Crarvey City Saviours and Crarvey Patriot Force kill anyone that appears to potentially have the disease (at times mistaking it for a common cold). We also see homeless communities within Crarvey’s cheap housing, being the only liveable option for many infected. Symptoms of the disease are very similar to heroin withdrawal, yet the symptoms last till the individual dies.

When examining the Rinesdale Mob, they’re main influence is the Irish Mob in America. Rinesdale Mob is named after where it was created (that being the high-rise named Rinesdale). The mob itself is apathetic and only cares for money. Willing to distribute H2.0 with no guilt. Those whom challenge them or work with police are often assassinated, and the leaders tend to recruit young kids to get involved with selling drugs or even murder. Rinesdale Mob do not care who wins the war between Crarvey City Saviours and Crarvey Patriot Force. However, they do work with Crarvey Patriot Force mainly due to its benefits rather than to help the militias’ goals. Clothing wise, the Rinesdale Mob appear similar to the McReary family in Grand Theft Auto IV.

Look forward to posting my next location, a town once again based of a location in Peru.

In that case we should move to the other thread and delete this one or close it.

Ah bugger just read this. Thought the previous thread was more about his idea. Happy for mods to close the tread though and move the discussion there.

I think about a hollow planet, like a shelter hidden. From the outside, it looks like a simple asteroid but inside there is a city. It would be like a negative of our planet: the buildings would grow from the soil to the center of the planet. There would be elevator to cross the planet by the core where there is a central activity (political, economical, whatever)

I d'on't really have picture for it sorry

I would love to see an environment with scattered islands with multiple settlements

If this is in fact a space pirate game, this could be a hideout of sorts or a meeting place for various pirates to trade, meet or have a little fun.

Well, I really like the fact they're using a very different type of architecture than the conventional european style. Angkor Wat is such amazing city and they're making a bigger one in this game. I really like that.
Perhaps they could use architecture from other civilizations like maya or inca.

Since they're going to make several planets I really hope the made one inspired by the works of Antoni Gaudí, and his unique vision of architecture:

That architecture for Gaudi is amazing, I'd be very happy to see a whole city based on that.

Yeah I'd love to see some Incan architecture as well. They could possibly place the temples near a city inspired by Cusco. Basically a rough city surrounded by mountains and mountain terraces. Add some Peruvian culture (ponchos and weird balaclavas) and I'm sure that city could be magical.

I want to see the old Hillys D:

Hmm that's a good idea, completely forgot about that. I hope it's heavily influenced by the original Hillys. Maybe a feeling of something isn't quite right, yet citizens feel quite cotent and unaware of the IRIS network. Maybe we could see its creation.

Not even sure the Domz will exist around the time that BGE2 takes place. Especially since this is before Jade's time and Jade supposedly has something to do with the Domz personally. Might be interesting to see what Hillys was like before the whole Domz/Alpha Section situation.

EDIT: Actually, now that I think of it; Hillys is really quiet old and outdated for its time (they still use boats to get around), perhaps Hillys (or at least the region we saw in BGE1) is like the poor part of the system?
