Have you seen that awesome Geforce6 video demo collage?? Just think of the possibilities doing that lighting and shading to an aircraft simulation!

I believe I can field this one for him...

Ahem.

"nVidia OpenGL setup still not be good enough for 'perfect' mode, even with new design now.

I think I will be buying only so to take off heatsink and use for baby warmer."

Those ho humming have a look at both anandtech and this site with FB tests.

Coupled with driver maturity, afterall this is sample hardware, I think you've a winner. Did I mention that for me ATI has crap driver support for Linux and that alone will sway towards Nvidia. Still there is time before either this or the ATI next gen hit out store shelves soon so I'll hold my breath about drivers and comparisons until then but all is looking good.

ATI crap linux drivers are what keeps me from buying their cards (which I would buy in a heartbeat).

So far this has lost them dozens of sales, only counting the PCs I personally administer / buy for my company. But that's just me.

I hear that ATI's drivers are due for a huge upgrade. Possibly with the release of their new R420. From what a hear that thing's gonna pwn. I think they may sync their driver update with that.

As I stated, I'll hold out and see what comes of it. Next Card purchase will be the last for current system and AGP. Dual AMD MP's are keeping me more than happy so I should get another year at least outta them. Only want to play 1280x1024 with full aa and as filtering and great frame rates. Any higher and my monitor can't cope http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
