i got GF FX 5900 (WinFast A350 TDH MyVIVO) video card with 128mb, video drivers are nvidia deonator 53.03 for winXP and when i switch the landscape detail to "perfect" level, it seems like water reflections are in extremaly low res. i mean, i'm almost unable to define what is my altitude. also, when i fly, these water reflection textures are static, up to the level that it looks like some kind of "fog", hard to define how far from the plane or even how high above the ground this fog is located. when i fly at low altitude, this "low res. reflection" effect isn't that vissible, although it's still far from "perfect". the landscape and the water itself seem to be alright (there are some bump mapped waves on it's surface[talkin' about water now]).
compared to the screenshots there is definitely something wrong in my game.
perhaps it is the matter of my graphic drivers or graphic card configuration in the system.
could anyone help me? is there anyone who's having the same problem?

i got also 515 DDR RAM 400MHz
and athlon XP (barton) 2500+

is it at sunsets that u see it the most? is it like there is a grid of squares behind the water? i get this. i think it has to do with nvidia. if u go into screenshots and look at the water real carefully, u can see it. its just something u get with nvidia. i dont notice it except for at sunsets.

You think that's bad, check out the landscape from 40,000m +

Ah yes, the famous Sub-orbital Me 163.

Boy, those Germans did everything first, didn't they?

And make sure you have the water options set in the conf.ini where you want it.

Water=0 fastest water, without ground reflction
Water=1 normal water, ground and clouds reflections, cloud shadows
Water=2 Perfect water. same as Water=1, plus wavy ground reflections and weather-dependant wave types

this is indeed most visible at sunsets, but during the day it is also anoying, probably it is the same stuff you are talking about james8325.

btw. georgeo76 > i don't have AEP yet, so i didn't look into it's readme http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
