i know this has been adressed before, but the ta-152 speed seems way less than it should be. the fastest i can get it up to in level flight at around 7000m is 550km/h it should be able to do well over 700km/h. i wanted to know if the next patch will adress this and give it a little more speed. i find myslef losing p-51bs even at altitude, and that doesnt seem correct. The ta-152 is a great plane, and other than the speed, i think it is one of the best in FB.

Mind if I chime in? Faustnik was so kind to airmail me a copy of AEP, and I got it last night! Is that awesome or what! He's a good man! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I've done quite alot of testing already! It is important that you make the speed runs over the Crimea map as it represents the ultimate atmospheric condition for you to match the RL performance of any aircraft.
At 7600m I managed to get the Ta 152 to reach 709km/h. And that is with rads closed, 110% throttle and MW50. In order to get the last bit of km/h one has to be really gentle aswell as patient! 550km/h sounds really slow, were you using MW50? Remember to activate it when the RPM's are as low as possible!

When it comes to aircombat, I'd rather be lucky than good any day!

He is using IAS not TAS.

robban that was the shortest two weeks of your life. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

12 noon Crimea, 50% fuel, overheat OFF, etc...

IAS speedbar

0km - 550km/hr
4km - 500km/hr
8km - 460km/hr
10km- 430km/hr

Note the very slow drop off at very high levels. MiG3U drops from 430km/hr at 8km down to 360km/hr at 10km.

Now robban put away your Fw, load up CR.42 and Gladiator and G.50 (and new TB~3~M34).
