I hope it could be widely customisable.

Same pistol that was in FC3/4, but at least it looks a bit different, still hope there is at least one new modern looking handgun. I got my Mac-10 wish and my hopes for a compound bow came true, so i'm considering myself lucky. Any other new weapons I end up liking are gonna be icing at this point. Also very excited to chuck a pitchfork into some cultist's face!

Mac-10 might happen, since it is a side-arm in Wildlands..... and we know Ubi likes to take guns from their other franchises and re-use them across games.

@HorTyS Yes the bow or any weapon that doesn't require bullets is always my favourite way to go.

Nice job sisimo1 :) really brought them to life.

I would love to have a WW2 rifle, such as the M1 Carbine for instance.
It is a popular weapon among amateurs and regular shooters.
Something like an old school rifle still powerful enough to send any enemy ad patres.

Guys, these are not weapon renders that sisimo1 made, they are official weapon renders for Far Cry 5 and officially going to be in the game...

That shotgun! :D

RIght? After the thumper the sawed-off was my most used side arm...

For some reason that shotgun is giving me strong bioshock vibes, no idea why. Maybe it's the design or the thick look of the barrel..

Very nice though.

Are these renders from the game? Or?

Indeed they are, from Ubi's own website, just scroll down to the "tools" section just over halfway down the page

So what's stopping you, besides perhaps your location? In the U.S. we have the Civilian Marksmanship program. Members may obtain surplus U.S. weaponry. ... Pretty sure he's talking about an in-game weapon....

I do wish if they insist on using the 1911 over & over that they'd at least go for more interesting models and not put that stupid mod rail on it (especially since we've historically not been able to customize the 1911 with sights ourselves) There are a ton of variations on the 1911, and far more interesting looking varieties than the ho-hum models we get in FC3/4/5....

Eeesh, I may have inadvertently turned this thread into something it's not. Perhaps the old thread about weapons we'd like to see (http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1671154-Weapons-you-hope-to-see!-(Pics-encouraged)?p=12781235#post12781235) would be a more appropriate place to continue the direction this discussion has taken until we learn more about what other armaments will be in the game.

If you don't beat the game using only the Baseball Bat, you've done it wrong.

Though if it's true you can throw pitchforks like a spear I'd probably just use that...

While many barns have pitch forks, sheds usually have the smaller version - forked tools, which I for one have seen been used to kill - https://www.groworganic.com/quality-garden-tools/long-handled-garden-tools.html

I've seen movies, sorry I forget their names, which depicted a person being stabbed in the chest with a pitchfork, while in another there was by a by a garden fork. My folks called them something else, but I can't remember what it is. How about a scyth in the FC5 barn? That tool made of wood and steel. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scythe We still see those our here at yardsales, and on walls of people's shops. In a pinch I am sure that would be a lethal weapon.

only in movies thats not the same but a scythe woulld be a fun melee to have in far cry as well especially if we can throw it like we can the bat and stick it into people there was a game called rage that had kind of a bladed frisby thing called the wingblade that was a lot of fun to use like that

You're probably thinking of a sickle as a scythe is far to big to throw and much too cumbersome to be a weapon in FC5 really...

this is a sickle

I too thought about the hand-held sickle as a weapon. Knowing the amount of scyths I've seen in my area, at yard/garage sales, fairs and such, shoot my family even brought theirs out from Iowa/Ohio, etc., we had it in the garage when I lived with them and knew how to use one; still that's a lot of scyths for the area. I'm sure such areas have them in MT as well as the Pacific Northwet as well. A hand sickle would be a good weapon if it were laying around and one needed one.

Hopefully hatchets will be a melee weapon we can pick up & throw... Still holding out hope we get just a regular combat or hunting knife with which we can do silent takedowns.... bats are ok, but I won't buy that it wouldn't alert a nearby guard so I'd rather carry a small blade...
