S!
Could please someone tell me what is the optimal setting for fuel mixture? I know that it has to do with the alt, so is it better to increase mixture while on high alt, or the oposite?
Please do not reply with techinal terms. Just tell me how to use it best.
Thanks,

as you get higher the air gets thinner, so less air is going into the engine so the amount of fuel going in needs to be adjusted accordingly, the most usefull aspect of fuel mixture is to increase range by 'leaning out' the mix to cruise. What you do have to watch is overheating because if you run it too lean (not enough fuel) you will notice the cylinder head temp or exhaust gas temp gets significantly higher, so if overheat occurs very easily at alt. it could be your mixture setting.
