Hi,

Does anyone know if the AB500 is broken in the 2.01 dedicated server? I see the bomblets deploy, but no explosions on the ground. Conversely I see the explosions when I do the same thing in the 2.01 application-based server.

Thanks for any help...

Hi,
I haven't tested this alot but the AB500 seems ineffective on online servers. Yesterday I dropped 3xAB500 over a target area on an online server. One from ~1000m, ~700m~ and ~600m altitude, dead on hit all three times with confirmed bomblet hits all over the enemy area which contained trucks, tanks and artillery guns. Not a single target was destroyed.

Hi again,
As I've been wondering about the AB500 for a while myself, I created a mission in the FMB with some trucks tightly grouped together and tried bombing these with the AB500's from a Bf110, after a couple of runs from 1000m to 500m altitude I had not destroyed a single truck. So I switched to the AB250 and destroyed all trucks in my first attempt and also in the second. So you're right something is fishy with the AB500, not only online but offline also. Perhaps it's intented, I don't know much about the AB's other than they are bomblet disepensers.

Offline has been no problem for me. I created a server on a computer on my LAN and also had no problem with the AB500/200. When I tried to use one on GreatGreen(dedicated server) the other night, the bomblets just disappeared rather than exploding. At least it appeared that way when I watch them fall.
