Oleg himself posted in ORR that he would like it to be compatible but he doesn't know if it will be. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

It'll be a shame if it's not compatible - but we can't have everything I suppose.

Okay, so far...

StarShoy says...I dunno ask Luthier now leave me alone...I kept pestering him at sinhq.

Gibbage says....Yes compatible, now leave me alone...but I had to drag it out of him. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Several other really really old timers who may be in the Know posted that FB and PF will be compatible, but who knows?

Only Oleg and Luthier can say for sure, and they are not talking or they are out Partying or something.

They said they would try to make it compatable, last I heard. If it's possible, they'll do their best to incorporate it, I'm sure.

Mentioned this on another thread. The release said there would be 40+ flyable planes. Then indentified 11, including 4 variants of the B-25. That suggests that this game will be compatible...so they can provide that many a/c. And, I hope, it means we'll be seeing planes not announced yet, e.g. F4U. We know the model is being built.

So much for all the poor suckers who gave away their efforts for free by making maps, skins etc. for the "Pacific Expansion Pack" only to get screwed once again!!! No, I won't buy it as a stand alone game, but I'm just mad enough at Oleg and the Surley Frenchmen at UBI to pirate the game when it comes out. I bet I'm not the only one who feels that way!

Actually, it was originally posted as being an expansion pack. I could care less what obscure thread they "may have" stuck notice of it being a stand alone game in. I can tell you for sure, directly from someone who worked very hard on skins that he was led to believe it would be an expansion pack. There is no reason whatsoever for it to be a stand alone game. Just another example of people being pimped for free!

If you look at it they have a lot of the planes already...all we would need are more of the Japanese planes and the carriers. I am hoping that it will be a stanfd alone...or something that could work either way..which would actually be the smartest move. I'll buy it either way.......

Oleg, in Oleg's ready room spoke of a Pacific Expansion pack.

There is no reason whatsoever for it to be a stand alone game?

A whole complete different theatre of operation with 16 maps, modifications to the engine like carriers implementation and others, new UI, aircraft, ships and such, and Godonlyknowswhateverelse, and there's no reason?

Last thing in the need to be pirated is GOOD and accurate software, I tell you. Keep on doing it, and it won't be releasd any longer.

Would you point to that thread? If he did, he was only misusing English, not his mother tongue. And you'd be ignoring the other hundreds hints and guesses pointing to the stand-alone version, including we'll try to make it FB-compatible...

So, you have more maps in more theatres... that's no reason for stand alone. Are you trying to say that KI's over Normandy makes sense? That's what we've got now. Please! I'll pay the surley Frenchmen $60.00 U.S. for this Pacific deal as an add-on and not a single Zloty for it as a stand alone.

And like I say, I want Oleg and the surley Frenchmen to make a ton of money on this. Good work should be rewarded. I just feel like the air is taken out of my sails on the subject of resisting piracy when irresponsible decisions like this are made.

Such we plan after bob

Is that what you're referring to?!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif
Isn't it a bit too little? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
He also refers to something else... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

He wants it stand-alone and backward-compatible.
And that's what they're still trying to do.
