Patch notes have been posted in thread by FredEx, putting the here in case there are more pages https://forhonor.ubisoft.com/game/en-US/news-community/152-289985-16/patch-notes-for-honor-v107

As always, I have written this as best as I heard it, if anyone has any corrections, say something in this thread and I will edit it.

To quote Bruce Buffer Weeeee areeeee LIVE

News of the week

Special stream on the 15th, gameplay premier event. New maps, new characters, 2pm pacific

16 competitors in duels with character of their choice in a round robin. Top eight will be in two teams of four in dominion using new maps and new characters. There will be Interviews with devs, look ahead to what is coming in the coming months. Thursday will still have a show.

Mass migration of players to the viking faction. This could actually be bad for the vikings if new players don't do so well as the originals.

Join in progress lead to new bugs. It is one of the harder things to test as it needs a large number of players. The dev team are working on it and bug fixing, they will reactivate when they can.

DVR and Beam have been reactivated on xbox. DVR wasn't to blame for the degradation in performance, they are still working with Microsoft.

Season pass, new characters will be available on May 16th for free.Everyone else 23rd 15,000 steel each.Starting 23rd you can practice with and against new heroes. On the 16th, maps drop for everyone. Gear update as talked about last week.

They are working on putting together a list of problems they know about for the forum.

Season two will see the map expanded.

No new content this week, giving a break for people to save steel.

Viking celebration bundle, it has an ornament and execution for each hero on the viking faction. 50% off regular steel price.

Next week three battle outfits for all heroes. New bats effect. I...might just need this effect.

Tutorial videos and moveset menues for characters.

Gameplay style.
Centurion. (27:42)

Centurion is a close range pressure character. He can charge heavy attacks for more range. Range otherwise is similar to warlord. He can chain kicks and punches. His left hand is a weapon just as much as his sword is. he has throw downs as well as punches. One of his dominion feats give a life boost to the entire team. he has a heavy attack where he jumps forward and pins someone on the floor for HUGE damage, almost two shot level of damage. You do not want to let the centurion get close to you on his own terms. If you dodge, he is punishable. Main goal is get opponent on the ground. Epic gear is epic. He has two types of guardbreak, quick and charged.

Moveset screen.
Knockback kick. Follow any throw with guardbreak for a kick.

Imperial Might. Finish a chain with a charged heavy for unblockable attack. Quick punch and kick can be followed by this also.

Eagles Talons. Use jump attack on an unbalanced enemy for extra damage. Triggers with Heavy

Lion's Claws Light-Light-Light chain

Lion's Fangs. Light-Light-Heavy

Lion's Bite. Heavy-Heavy

Eagle's Fury not in guard mode heavy attack

Eagle's Fury alternative heavy off a dodge

Legion kick dodge-guardbreak

Jab heavy hit or block, hold/release guardbreak.

Charged jab heavy hit or block hold guardbreak.

Lion's Roar - Guardbreak-Ligght-Light-Light

Parry counter guardbreak after parry.

His description is Melee specialist, mix-up intensive.

Shinobi (37:11)
Range weapon, he can throw his weapon to get in your face, dodge in and out. He is fast, apparently he is much more technical. Heavy is charged similar to a conq's flail. He can double sprint, costs stamina but he goes faster and he can knock the opponent down with a tackle. He has the lowest health pool in the game, only three and a half bars. Deflect he disappears and appears behind his opponent, this will make him a ledger, seriously do not approach at a ledge if you are throwing heavies for him to deflect off, his deflects also do bleed damage. Shinobi needs to hit a lot of moves to grind you down, it is constant damage rather than burst.

Epic gear is also epic.

He is listed as melee, counter attacker.

Moveset screen I have done my best with the move list, you really need to look at it yourself, some of it is very complex.

General assassin reflex defence.
Deflect teleports the shinobi behind the opponent and inflicts bleed, it can be followed by kick or Light.

Light attack combo:
Shadow Dancer: Second light is guaranteed if first one hits.
Ghoul's Rage: Light attack is guaranteed if heavy hits.

Charge attacks have two levels, the higher the charge the more range they have.

Super sprint: Press sprint twice

Double dodge: Cancel dodge by performing another dodge.

Kick mixup

Charge limitations - If you are out of stamina you cannot charge. You can cancel charge with dodge or feint. When blocked the charge is always interrupted.

Charged attack - If parried by an opponent you will be unbalanced.

Shadow Dancer. Light-Light (second light guaranteed)

Sickle rain. Heavy-Heavy (opponent grounded) Light-Light-Light. (Inflicts bleed)

Ghouls Rage. Heavy-Light (Light guaranteed)

Spidersilk whip. Hold/release Heavy-Heavy

Tackle: Guardbreak while not in lockewd mode

Charge. Hold heavy, release fora heavy

Grab - Hold Heavy press guardbreak

Heavy or guardbreak after a kick provide mixup options.

Front roll - Dodge while charging heavy

Front roll kick - Guardbreak after the roll

Crushing front roll - Heavy after the roll

Double dodge kick - dodge, dodge, guardbreak

Backflip - Dodge after light, heavy or kick
Crushing backflip - Guardbreak after a light, heavy or kick followed by heavy.

Release notes (1:01:39)

Matchmaking: Matchmaking is going to have a reputation score (over all heroes) parameter. This will however mean obviously you can have rep 10 heroes vs rep 1 heroes. You get matchmaked on skill first and then rep. They will be tweaking this over time.

Tweak deadzone on sticks so you can make it more reactive.

Removed soft feint off guardbreak and lights. They might consider putting it back in after as a proper feature with timing windows. This is not behind the flicker issue, they are still working on that.

Unlock exploits are patched out, they will have the same property unlocked as locked.

RAIDER! Gave the ability to cancel any heavy attack into stunning tap. Stunning tap can now chain into moves. Zone attack feint bug fixed. They are improving his throws. Stampede charge drains enemy stamina while you are throwing and does not regen before the end of the move. Reduced stampede charge stam cost to 40. Raider recovers faster after the stampede charge and there is damage to the knee hit. So you are going to get more damage after that both in the knee and damage. Stamina pool increased to 130 up from 120. Rebalancing on damage, chop and poke second light increased, light finisher damage increased, winding slash light attack damage also increased. All are now 15.

Peacekeeper triple stab, nerf to first two stabs, buff to third. Overall this is a slight nerf to the triple stab but it is more powerful now than double stab kick into wall.

Lawbringer. Updated moveset to reflect changes. Bug fixes, activating revenge after a shove will not unbalance enemy. Sweet justice finisher bug has been fixed. Fixed animation glitch on longarm.

Shugoki. Out of guard attack all consistent with locked mode attack.

Nobushi. No big buff. A lot of feedback has been given, they will look at her in the coming weeks. Out of lock attacks same properties as locked.

Warden. Re-enabled ability to switch targets during shoulder bash.

XP increase all matches 25% Gear stats will be applied. Four new weapons and two armour gear per hero. new rarity lootable at rep 5. Crafting costs revied, early gear costs less to be upgraded in steel and salvage, gain my scrapping has been changed.

Elimination. One revive per round.

Still working on colourblind.

Q&A (1:20:50)

Roman's main is Valkyrie. Damien's is Kensei. Elric mains Peacekeeper. Emile's nobushi.

Console vs PC balance, no plans for separate balance. They have other stuff coming in. Peacekeeper win/loss ratio is lower on console. They are trying to improve all other elements overall. Can't go 60 fps but trying to improve reactivity elements as much as possible first. They will try in future to improve reactiveness and perception as much as possible.

Cannot transfer heroic rarity appearance to epic gear.

Gear stat transfer. Old stats build should transfer to new stats build. I don't know if he just means position on the gear or things like debuff resistance.

Mythic bundles, they might be able to do new bundles on the new characters but they won't be added into old bundles retroactively.

Looking closely at nobushi and feedback, nothing specific nor timeline on it now.

Season starts 8 am eastern 12 pm utc

Defence penetration will not negate whole of defence stat, I think there was a 2% difference between max defence and max defence penetration. They will be monitoring it as it goes live.

Kensei being punishable by guardbreak on side dash block is a feature not a bug, same as valkyrie. These are deliberately different from the assassin side dodges.

No current plans on warlord nerf. They feel he is in a good place. yes he is a good character but their preference is to buff and improve other characters like they did with the raider and see how that affects things. Fights are more interesting and diverse than they used to be. Is he good, yes, does he need a nerf as of today? They don't think so currently.

Conqueror, he has too few moves, he is a strong character, the issue is he only really has one good strategy, they are considering it. They do not have a good answer for it currently, it is under consideration.

New characters currently have same execute and emote numbers as others did at launch.

Someone asked why Damien is so handsome, apparently it is the chlorophyll in his water >.> Just writing what they said!

Switch stance speed is being fixed, that fix will be coming soon, no specific date but they are working on it. The slower characters will be in line with the rest of them, the animation changes takes time and they do not want to make new bugs,so it will come when it comes.

They find throw distance with the warlord interesting, they will see if it needs changing in the future, but no current plans.

Full patch notes will be live soon.

Matchmaking in party, region peak is leader, matchmaking between groups they try to get a close average rep rating between each team. (I think this is what he said, if anyone can understand better than I did let me know and I will edit it.

They will have a little on ranked mode on monday.

And that's a wrap.

Does anyone now the exact values of Shinobi's health. It's 3 and a bit bars. If I remember correctly, each bar is 25. So does he have 90HP? If so, I feel like it might be a bit extreme. He could basically be 2 shot then.

Both characters looked amazing!

My favorite things said:
1. They are working on guard switch speed being the same for all warriors.
2. You can only get revived once every Elimination round!!! (I made whole thread about Elimination revives, so this is great news for me!)

Once again, thanks Candle for the write-up! :D

I know but since we don't know how well he plays, most of his moves could be limited or useless. I don't mind the low health if his whole moveset is viable and he's not like Orochi, where he only has 2 viable moves.

RAIDER BUFF! Gave the ability to cancel any heavy attack into standing tap. Standing tap can now chain into moves. Zone attack feint bug fixed. They are improving his throws. Is standing tap a different attack than stunning tap? If it's the same it always could be soft feinted from a heavy. These all sound like they won't change much to be honest but we will have to see exactly how it turns out. Depending on how much the knee does when he gets you into a wall that could be a nice buff for confirmed damage on guardbreak when combined with a guaranteed light. Also could help get people to exhausted more often where raider can start up his zone mixup game. I'm a bit skeptical but it's better than going full s tier mode

True, but I doubt his lights will be faster than PK's, and he'll prob need a lot more of them from the sounds of it. My concern is one enemy parry- to GB- (To throw against wall)- to heavy is going to smack his lips off, possibly even one shot him with the right builds.

Also I dont see a telegraphed ranged GB landing often/ at all. All speculation though. Still absolutely cant wait to try these chars out, they both look great! :D

If I am not mistaken you could only do it after 1 heavy attack.. Now I think you can heavy heavy>heavy>feint into tap... Also I believe now you can cancel the unblockable into tap, I don't believe you could before.

Well it all depends on how you use the tap during heavy combos..
(I haven't played raider sine open beta so I don't know exactly if this would work but this is how I would try it):
You get an enemy out of stamina, which should be easier with his new buff, then you either GB and throw him or bait and parry him. Your opponent gets knocked down, so you proceed to do a heavy (it connects) and go for the second heavy (they go to block it, you "feint" it into the stunning tap). From there you could hit them with another light after the tap since the tap now can be a starter in his chains. Or you could also try and GB them again since they are still out of stamina and dazed/stunned it may be harder for them to react to the GB with all that is going on.. If you do connect that next GB, you can start that whole combo over again. :D

Yup, I might try him one day.

I've made it to the end of the stream, so it's all up. I will add the newsletter link when I see it and times for some parts of it as I did last week.

The premier stream will be five hours after the warrior's den normally is, sounds like it is going to be three hours or more so I might be watching but pretty much not writing that one down lol.

Peacekeeper triple stab, nerf to first two stabs, buff to third. Effectively this is a slight buff to the triple stab a nerf to double stab kick into wall. This means triple stab is the most damaging now.

I love your write ups of these and really like this PK change, I think it a very balanced change. However to nit-pick one thing. PK never had and never will have the highest damaging GB. She has the highest POTENTIAL guardbreak damage. Just block one of those stabs (yes it is possible, and hard) and she instantly has one of the lowest if not the worst damage of guard break. Just bugs me every time someone says shes got the best or OP GB damage. When its the only realistic GB punish that can be blocked.

Thanks again for the write up. Always look forward to reading these since I can never watch them live.

Also can anyone put together all these Raider buffs and figure out if its to much, to little? Seems like a lot of changes, some minor some not. Just happy theyre buffing him the same time as they remove the unlock tech.

And any word on specific unlock techs being patched? Theres potentially hundreds...

Im slightly disappointed but I didn't expect much. These buffs remind of kenseis. Yes they are a small improvement but still miles away from top tier. The devs seem like they will be keeping top tier above the rest indefinitely.

When I saw Shinobis 3 page moveset I looked at Raiders 1 page moveset and thought Ubi might not understand the principals of balance.

I suppose having more options is always a good think but I think either the light>za guaranteed 68 Damage or overhead heavy>za for 45 damage and 50/50 mixup is a little better but we will have to see.

You're welcome. Yeah I think the pk change is balanced, looking at the patch notes it is slightly nerfed all in all but it will do better now than the double kick into a wall and double kick into a wall is situational in any case.

On unlocks, they said all moves will have the same properties unlocked as they do locked, so no more unparryable etc. I took that to mean all of them pretty much.

Are the Lawbringer bugs ever going to be fixed? You fix a minor bug like the Warden Shoulder Bash hero change, but completely ignore other more important ones. Revenge Shove does not knock opponents down if they dodge when being hit, Make Way animation is still broke, Swift Justice side heavy finisher does not combo into shove etc.

There are MANYYYY different types of unlock techs. Not all of them are used to avoid a parry. Though thats what they're most known and used for.

Certain attacks when unlocked are actually faster than their normal attack. I know Kensei can unlock his ZA so its almost just as fast to hit as PK. Valk can unlock in multiple ways from her full guard/shieldbash stance (whatever thats called). Theres more that ive seen, and im sure many more that no one has even discovered yet. Many of these are not very practical to use because of precise timing or situational need, but you never know when buffs/nerfs can change the meta to allow these bugs to shine.

I have fixed some of the notes on the shinobi movelist. He has kick with guardbreak after double dodge which I missed all together, his deflect causes bleed as does the triple stab after his Heavy-Heavy chain. I would assume that it is guardbreak to kick after a deflect, deflect can also be followed with a light attack. He looks interesting, there is a lot to him which is perhaps why he is somewhat squishy to balance, you need to get the combos right and the deflect comes with some risk of losing a very large chunk of your health if you screw it up.

Hmm, I don't know. They didn't mention those, I would imagine if they come up they will look at them. They said that all attacks will have the same property unlocked as locked, so hopefully they don't miss them because of that, if they do best we can do is report it and see what they do.

Attacks aren't faster...

The difference is the angle of your opponent. When your locked on your obviously in front of your opponent. When your unlocked you simply place your opponent where your attack originates from making it unreactable to block.

Hey everyone,

Patch notes are now up. You can find them here For Honor - Patch 1.07 (https://forhonor.ubisoft.com/game/en-US/news-community/152-289985-16/patch-notes-for-honor-v107)

Thanks!
I noticed the absence of a bug fix though which leads me to believe it's still trying to be fixed.

The bug in question prevents any rewards or progression from completing a match when you fight bots with matchmaking off. The devs did say last stream they were aware of it and it was their top priority to fix. So. Did they just forget to add that in this patch? or are they still trying to fix it?

Incredibly disappointed in the response about not being able to transfer gear appearance between rarities. Pretty clear from the response they made that decision to push microtransactions further. Say the 4 crates will help, no where close to being enough help. Took me around 10 crates and 15k steel to get a single specific piece for the Lawbringer already, with new items in the pool it will be even worse. Guess I'll have to wade through the gaudy pee-yellow gold plated items yet again.

Haha probably. I don't think anyone noticed, but when they announced the Elmination changes I kept typing 1 Life? Piss Off! in the chat ;)

I think it should be the new standard reply format for any changes or announcements that include numbers.

15,000 Steel? Piss Off! ;)

Lol >.> I always found comments distracting so I watched on youtube, then I realised I could just post the video here on another tab, though I soon realised the flaw to that is I can't fullscreen it which would have been useful when looking at the movelists.

The comments are almost always spamming too fast to read. Very difficult to pick out your own comments, let alone anyone elses. I did like it when they mentioned the Knights and everyone (including me) starting spamming the chat with DEUS VULT! though.

The brotherhood is alive and well ;)

Indeed it is lol. I actually watched the gameplay videos rather than have half an eye on what I was typing, both characters look pretty awesome in play, though people are going to have to play the shinobi as a counter attacker rather than rush in, between being squishy and that his most powerful stuff is punishable, otherwise there will be the same people who don't want to use the orochi as a counter attacker and wonder why they can't hit his two most powerful moves.

I am probably not going to do one of these on monday for a few reasons, chief among them it starts at 10pm my time, for all I know could be close to dawn by the time it finishes, when it gets to the point I am half asleep I can't type straight lol, also my partner (distance relationship) is usually on then so while I might watch and listen, my time is mostly going to be with her, not writing down anything I think is relevant to edit into a post.

If people like, what I can do is put a thread and a youtube video up as I do with the Den streams, if people post news dropped in the thread (we got told there would be news on ranked for example), I could pull any up from posts and edit them into the top post and also, some time the day after, watch it all again to pull out any bits that were missed in the thread.

I dont read anything about fixing the crashing and con lost errors. These are the biggest gamekiller for me and many others. First fix these problems then you can add content. If this doesnt happen the game will die in no time.

The people working on technical problems are different from those making new content. Also, said content was likely already mostly developed before launch. Delaying the DLC schedule won't solve the problem any faster.
