I just found this site with a Nicolas Trudgian gallery with VERY big pictures/paintings. There are 31 I belieive and many planes are represented. Definitely worth a look. A few pop-ups but no big deal, though I would recommend a scan after grabbing images as with any site. Here is link:

Pretty good paintings. A tad heavy on the brownish tint to the landscapes though. Just his style I guess.

Hmmm.... I'm thinkin'... not. I'd like to see some one take off in a plane other than a carrier, and with out a catapult in that space.

They used catapults very limitedly in WW2. I don't think they used them to launch big waves of planes either.

Sweet site. Had it bookmarked for a while though http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

BTW Hunde-where do you find your signature pictures? They're always beautiful FW's that I can never find online http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Interesting. I've seen one or two of the pictures, but didn't know the painter. Thanks.

Rall, they are from various artists that do alot of WWII aviation stuff. I just went to Yahoo, did search for "FW-190 art", then started clicking. Usually I will find an artist, then do a search under his name, which will usually lead to alot of links with galleries.

Some names you might want to check out:

-Robert Taylor
-Nicolas Trudgian
-Robert Bailey
-Keith Ferris
-Stan Stokes
-Phillip West
-Gerald Coulson
-Mark Postlethwaite
-Jim Laurier (very nice)

...just for starters, you would be amazed at how much is out there.

Somebody recently asked about "alarmstart", that is done by Mark Postlethwaite.

Here is another quick site that breaks art down by planes (note that these are only a few of the artists works). They also give description of paintings which is VERY nice touch:

Enjoy!
