Hi,

If you fly the 109 alot and have troubles bringing down bogies, send me your QMB (Quick Mission Builder) tracks and I will have a look at your moves and give you advise on where I think your going wrong and what you can do to improve your play. I have been flying the 109 exclusively and I used to have a lot of trouble against the MIGs and YAKK and LAs - so send your tracks to the following email address and I will reply to you.

Just trying to help the newbies thats all,

Cheers,
Shelton.

Hmmm. his is a rather `incredibly confident of his abilities` post. Maybe I should pose as a noob Axis pilot to see what he`s got up his sleeve! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Actually, I fly allied mostly. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The SeaFireLIV you would qualify as a noob then to a 109 wouldn't ya think. I fly it like a turd or a lawn dart at a barbeeQ. Alway cooking something under the hood. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Thats why i fly allied aswell too.

Not a bad idea i think. I`m not a pro, but i can offer a trk of K4 Defeating 4 La7 on Ace setting if that will help anyone. Shows basics of spiral climb, deflection shooting, etc. Size 4MB.

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

That's great crazyivan. I'm looking forward to seeing that K-4 in action. Where can I get the track?

Let me sum it all up in a nutshell for ya...

Flying the 109, just don't get sucked into turn fights. Resist the urge to bleed speed just so you can point your nose at the bad guy and learn to "extend" after a pass. Convert your speed into height if safe. Set up for another attack.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Good idea http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Will have to go through my 109 tracks when I get home and decide which one to humiliate myself with. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

CrazyIvan, that would be a great track to watch. Have saved tracks by JG-14Josf, michapma and Crash because I can learn something new every time I watch them. They say you should fly with aces if you want to improve but the constant sight of tracers and flames going past your side windows sorta distracts one from good situational awareness IMAO.

Watching tracks speeds up the learning process a lot.

Maybe a UBI Training Area is needed where people can post tracks on UBI Webspace.

I have a lot intresting ones.
From Tank Killing Ju87G or Il23m and Ship Sinking with FW or BF over to Level or Dive Bombing in He111.

Also lot of DFs mostly FW or BF involved.

Some odd things i recorded too . Hope i still have em from Funny Warps to Impossible AI moves.

I think some of the old ones here have already a huge archive.

As playback doesnt have problems with older ntrks it wouldnt be the same problem like in il2 days new version old trks tracks not playable.

Hyperion

Hi,

Maybe you could check out my post "Newbie Help", now on page 4? No track (and I can't upload one) but a description of my atrocious tactics towards the end.

Thanks

S!
The ability to record and replay a flight was the so exciting to me as I began to discover this sim. I was thinking how great it would be as a learning aid and just for plain fun. I was shocked when I returned to this board, for my future introduction to flying this sim online, to discover ZERO FB tracks I could view. I'm sure I am missing a piece of the puzzle concerning this topic. I can't imagine noone wants to share their flying exploits. I viewed 1 track so far. It was a beautifully crafted movie called, "First flight"(?) I howled and spilled my popcorn! Very fitting for me.
