Any chance of having this aircraft in with PF and the RN carriers?????

60 Gladiator Mk.Is and Mk.IIs were modified for operations from carriers, and were involved in the Norwegian campaign, and were used extensively in the defense of Malta.

Far as I can tell, it would require not too many alterations to the current Mk.II model (majority of Sea Glads were Mk.II mods) with the addition of a tail hook, and a dinghy pack slung under the nose. Also, the 2 blade prop as well, coz it gave better take off speed, and that's more or less it.

What ya reckon?? Is there a possibility for it after PF comes?? I know it didn't serve in the Pacific, but it would be soooo cool to have it flying against zeros, and the like in what if scenarios (oh no, I said "What If"!!!! Oh dear)

whit ye looking at, ya big jessie?!?!

Salute

My bet is that the current Glad will be able to land on a Carrier without a hook. I'm sure someone will try anyway... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Sea Hurricanes were also flown off carriers and were same as regular Hurricanes, didn't even have folding wings.
