After seeing the centenary of flight air display at Duxford (UK) last year I must admit that the P47 is probably the most impressive aircraft I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. Both the Spitfire and P51 flying in the same portion of the display are unquestionably two of the most graceful and stunningly good looking aircraft I've ever seen, but that P47, which I must admit was not a plane I was too keen on before seeing it for real, was something else. It oozes power and brute force, and its size dwarfs the spit and P51. I see why you P47 pilots in here love it.

Yup..i'm addicted to them...fast, powerful, sturdy as hell and looks absolutely beautiful.... especially the Razorback.. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif *wants to start a P47 Fanclub :P *

2 bad that it's so poorly modeled in fb...but if a flightsim offers the choice for me to fly the P51 OR P47..i always take the '47...my favorite plane ever..
(I don't ever want to find myself on the receiving end of the 8 Point Fifty's http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif)

yup, even though i'm a big fan of all a/c and love to fly'em all, the thunderbolt is a bad a$$ machine. I still have a lot of practice to do with her before I can really say that I can "fly" her well...Most of the time i'm impatient with her and get sucked into the middle of a furball and get my arss handed to me left and right, but i'm working on the patiencehttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Just wish I could find more time to fly http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/52.gif

I love to fly it A-G the firepower it provides allows you to chew up pretty much anything. I'm not very good in it A-A though, I can't help getting sucked into a turning fight, I need a bit more discipline I think. Just wish I had internet at home so I could go online to fly, It seems that this can really help improve your skills.
