I have a good upload speed of 287Kbits/sec, or roughly 32KB/sec, I have a 576Kbits/sec download, how many FB AEP players can I host on that connection without it lagging?

I may pop a server up for a while http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/icon_twisted.gif

I used to have 256k up and I hosted a dedicated machine with 10 people.I suspect that I could have
set the limit higher.HL sets your connection to 14.4 by default. This is plenty per person on the client side.

Anybody, would it matter if I said I was in the UK?

Or the fact that its 21:30hrs here http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/51.gif

Can't get a simple answer here anymore http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I used to run a local server on my machine with 16 players and that was on a ADSL 512Kbps up and down, no problem at all. With your connection your probably be able to host about 10 players. That you based in the UK is only of importance to the players connecting, ie a player in Japan might not get that good ping on your server http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Worth mentioning is that it's not only your connection that sets the limit regarding the amount of players but also your system.

Good Luck!
