Welcome, and cudos for flying full real http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

It will make you better, and its more fun in the long run (even if its a bit tough at first).

yeah... very hard hitting targets in the begining.. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I have tested the P51 and *P40(against Zeros)* to, a lot easier hitting with these two planes coz of the armament. But since i like the BF109's i stikk to them, i bring down veteran bots now(but my aim can b improven a lot). http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

how old are you peaple to?
Im only 16 tho. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Hows the it to play this game online?

yeah and thnx for the welcomenings http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

34 here

Welcome to the forums. Be sure to try all the planes, there are a zillion and they are all slightly different from each other, enough to give them each their own feel.

Words of advice:

Don't worry about the La7 flight model, the FW190 gunsight, the turn rate of the 109G2 or the climb rate of the 109K4 and whatever you do...don't mention whether flying in cockpit or with superman view is better. Ever. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gifhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gifhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gifhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

(shouldn't that be posted in the sturmovik essentials thread?)

thihih...

I have tested a lot of planes.
Its nice to fly something else soetimes.

But nothing beats BF109 E-4 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif against even targets of course http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

And i think im addicted to this game, it beats all other sims http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

And i still havent tested LOMAC event tho i bought it at the same time as this one, and i generaly like sims with todays fighter planes http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

This is game showed me how gr8 ww2 flying was, i even read books about it now http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/crazy.gif

But i still like todays fighter jets a **little** http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

Setup a real sortie and fly some more.Fuel consumption kills the lethality of this bird.10 minutes of combat throttle can be applied really.

Welcome aboard Coldgas! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I'm glad you enjoy this sim as much as the rest of us. As for me, I'm probably in one of the older groups of players, 43 years old. You'll find that we come in all sorts of flavors (age, sex, race, ethnicity etc.) around here. Some younger than you, and some a lot older. A recent post by RxMan I think, stated that he had been married for 45 years, http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif so you can imagine how old he is, and he enjoys this game as much as the rest of us. Age doesn't seem to matter around here. We're all immature when it comes down to it. Good Luck and enjoy the ride.

Hi Coldgas, I'm 37 when it comes to paperwork but 16 when it comes to anything else. This is the only flightsim I play, all other fail in comparison. But maybe the best thing is the guyz you'll meet online and in this board. Some of them are out there but generally all cool. We are the "Broadband of Brothers". Another great thing is that if you have any questions just post a new thread and you'll get so many great replies. Take care buddy and welcome. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Welcome aboard Coldgas..... 48 here... been simming for a while.. Hey Toad I remember when pong was new.... there was a system called Odessy I think... it had pong and some other stuff..it was the first video game..it was huge... LOL.. The very first flight sim I ever flew was on 42nd St. My dad took me down to Playland and they had a game there that had these WW1 planes on slides.. there was a phonograph inside that usee to switch sound effects of engines and guns etc... when you shot up the plane a slide flames would appear on the plane and you would ear it crashing as it went out of the field of view. Primitive but to a pre nintendo generation 9 year old it was awesome...

I've seen that game!! I'm not as old as you http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif (31) but at Clacton seafront there was an arcade which had 'vintage' machines - that WWI plane game was amazing! (In the eyes of a 7 yr old)

"So when Diogenes perceived that he was greatly excited and quite keyed up in mind with expectancy, he toyed with him and pulled him about in the hope that somehow he might be moved from his pride and thirst for glory and be able to sober up a little. For he noticed that at one time he was delighted, and at another grieved at the same thing, and that his soul was as unsettled as the weather at the solstices when both rain and sunshine come from the very same source."

You lucky devils I never saw that game. Would love to yet today. My fols didn't tkae me to such things. That would of been considered a waste of money. I never actually owned Pong, nintendo, sega or any of that stuff till I left home. And had kids of my own. I had to go to my friends houses to be exposed to such things. My folks said they were bad for me and I'd never turn into anything worth while if i played with such things. I needed to bbe outside playing ball or tag interacting will other people. ROFLMAO in hind sight. This may be why I have overindulged in them as an adult. Funny thing is My Dad is now hooked on PC games. He had his Back broke in the early 90's we got him a nintendo since he was bed ridden for about a year. Hehehehe I like pointing out to him how worthless and brain numbing these these things can turn you into.Hehehe
