No, I wanna host but I am behind a router, so I have to foward and open those ports that are used by UBI and IL2.

Ok, I guess it is impossible to host if you are behind a router. Everyone that joins my game is timed out even after I have opened ports 21000, 21010, and the UBI port. UBI, do you ever care that a lot of people are pissed off because of this stupid problem?

I host behind router without any problem all the time.

Make sure thet you forward port to the machine you are hosting at. I have several PC's hooked up to one router and every time router reboots internal IP addresses change so I have change forwarding settings.

To find out IP address of the PC your are hosting at, type in comand prompt "ipconfig". But dont forget thet you have to give external IP address to your buddies, not internal. To get your external IP go to www.myipaddress.com (http://www.myipaddress.com)

Hey, I have forwarded the ports to that machine and that machine only, maybe I am missing the correct ports? Can you tell me which ports are being forwarded to your machine, also are you hosting in UBI or hyper lobby?

I host from behind a router on Hl.I have not tried on Ubi but from what I read you still can not host from behind a router over there. It is a known bug that they have done nothing to fix.

yeah from what everyone in the chatroom says, it is impossible to host. Why won't UBI fix this? Is it that they don't care?

Well, I must be a moron...I really enjoyed hosting with my DSL....now that I have gone with a router so that all my computers can share the internet...I can no longer host. If you guys can help it would be appreciated I use a Linksys BEFSR41 V3.

BTW make sure it is UDP port 21000 you are pushing through the FW/router and not TCP.

Ok, I'll try that and let you all know how it goes.
