For whatever reason my autopilot engages whithout hitting the "A" key when flying a QMB as I closely approach an enemy plane and starts firing the cannon/gun. Don't understand it, I haven't engaged the autopilot or hit the trigger to fire the gun. What do I need to do to stop it?

In what planes? All of them or just 1 or 2?

It seems like it's all of them. I've tried it with the LA-7, the Mig-3U and the P-51. It kinda ticking me off, the gun just starts firing like mad, doesn't it anything and I end-up being out of ammo. Don't know why?

I'm running V2.04 with a Cougar HOTAS. The autopilot indicator comes on until I hit the [A] key to turn it off.

Well I re-booted my computer, restarted the Sim, tried it with a German Bf109 and it did it again, the Autopilot magically engages after I initially fire-off a round, start to line-up another shot and my cannon starts shooting, the autopilot indicator shows up in the right corner of the screen. I frantically hit the A-key to turn it off-- don't know why it happens, didn't happen yesterday, I reset my HOTAS controls to default and still happens??? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

probly a dumb question, but i dont suppose the trigger is linked up to engage auto pilot in the controls menu?

Well BlakJak, you gave me an idea, I checked and didn't see any link from the trigger to the autopilot. But I decided to re-key the "Autopilot" from "A" to "Ctrl-A", that did the trick, no more problems with autopilot magically opening and firing the guns. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

you could have a sticky "a" key on the keyboard. It happens....

You didn't have autopilot automation on did you? It's the one labelled "Toggle Level Autopilot" in the controls setup screen.
