Have you guys ever played SC wondering how well you actually performed a level? How you could have done something better? Well I was playing Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, and was pondering all the stats that you are graded on when you beat the game, like how many times you alerted the guards, how many shots fired, how many guys you killed, how fast your time was. Well, I think SC is a perfect game for stats, as well as competing with other players, not online, but like MGS2:S, where after you complete the game, it gives you a code that you can submit online and ranks you with other players around the world on how well you did, some suggestions of stats that I think would be essential for SC2, well, first, my question is do you think it would be fun to improve yourself if it had stats, great replay value I think, I just think that it would make the game more entertaining from what it already is, and more stressful (yay!). I just want to play SC and knowing how well I performed, as well as knowing how everyone of you did also. So, back to my stats, if you agree with me in the first place, this is what I think should be included. (as far as kills go, I think the more kills you have should lower your score, incapacitating would be good, and sneaking by completely should be SPLINTER CELL WORTHY, lol, even though you can't sneak by everyone, leaving the game to determine what you did right) ok here we go:

All stats based overall, and per mission. Almost all stats go against your score, except those that include avoiding enemies, finesse, etc.

OVERALL TIME (Self-Explanetory)
MISSIONS FAILED/CONTINUES (Self-Explanetory)
SAVE CHECKPOINTS (When you come to a checkpoint, do you think you can complete entire level in one try? Muhaha)
DAMAGE TAKEN (When you have alerted an enemy to fight, or mandatory fights)
MEDPACKS USED (Self-Explanetory)
SHOTS FIRED: BULLETS (Shooting lights, distracting, killing, Against your score)
SHOTS FIRED: INCAPACITATING DEVICES (airfoil rings, sticky shockers, etc)
KILLS (Self-Explanetory, Against your score, unless mission objective)
INCAPACITATIONS (Selective Scoring, Game knows whether or not you could actually avoid enemies, otherwise it doesn't affect your score)
AVOIDED ENEMIES (How many you snuck by without alerting or detection of enemies)
AVOIDED ALERTS (Lasers, cameras)
FINESSE (How well you utilized enviroment/shadows/devices, executed plans of movements, how well you used Sam's capabilities)

The music determines these following stats, as you know http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
ALERTS (Either by cameras, traps, or when the enemy knows you exist, and/or opens fire on you) [Fast music] Goes against your score
DETECTIONS (When the enemy hears something, distractions you made) [Deep, suspicious music] Goes against you score initially (making to much noise), Game will know whether you had to make a distraction

Although this is all complex, SC is a very complex and cleverly constructed game, there may be other stats that would be useful in the game, these are what I can think of and all based on how well you can avoid anything that would alert the enemy. Some rankings based on score, I came up with are: MOUSE (sneaky but squeaky, hehe), NINJA (super sneaky), SPLINTER CELL (you are a ghost, you don't exist)

Thanks for reading, have a nice day. Please add any stats that would want you to improve score or even a way to continue replayability. Peace.

Stats are a must. I thought it was pretty standard on games (Perfect Dark, Hitman 2, heck, even Medal of Honor, etc). Also, these stats could be used to unlock cheats (no codes, you have to earn them for use after you beat the game once).

Absolutely, it would be great with stats.

I think some kind of rating or mission stats or evaluation is a good idea. Only thing is don't do it at the end of each mission. Wait till the game is completed. If you were given a score at the end of each mission it would seem too "arcadey".
