At the start of WW2 the German army lacked experienced anti-aircraft gunners. The average gunner was so bad that the USSR decided to help them out. They did it by forcing some of their pilots to fly I-153 flak magnets. These planes were slow but very sturdy. This allowed German anti-aircraft gunners to get a large amount of target practice on a relatively small number of planes. Thanks to the Soviets help, by the end of the war the German anti-aircraft gunners were amoung the best in the world.

That was the rare 109 that was equiped w/ a flame thrower out of the nose- designed to disfigure enemy tail gunners in te hope to make them less accurate. Unfortunatly, the LW found out that the 109 flew much faster than the flame and when fired just created a giant fireball infront of the nose. After the failure of this weapon the LW went onto to use the much more traditional mk 108 in its nose.

Nah, I don't think it's photoshop. In FB, as you get farther from a firing gun, the muzzle flash on that gun gets bigger and bigger so it's easier to see when a gun is firing from far away. But when you pause the game when you see a far away plane firing and then zoom in on that plane, the muzzle flash distance isn't updated and you see the muzzle flash as if it were at 2000 meters instead of 20.

Also he could have moved the camera back, and used the zoom button. Has the same effect I think.

He's obviously discharging plasma through the navigational deflector array; seen it done often on Star Trek TNG.

Doesn't compare to a FW 190. With muzzle flashes like that, you could throw a party on the ground and have strobes created by Fw190s flying overhead!
