What is this game Battle Over Europe? I have just found out of this game, has anyone played it, is it any good?

I've seen screen shots and it looks great, looks just like IL2. I wonder if this is a Maddox game.

Hello Opti,

BOE is a great European Campaign Add-on for IL2. That is why it looks so much like IL2 because it is http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I'm not sure if I'm falling in to a trap here, looking at your reg-date I think not. (If you don't understand this, disregard it)

Battle Over Europe is a 3rd party addon to FB, it includes missions, skins, campaigns and modified campaign generators. I don't have it, but I've played quite a bit of online coop campaign with someone who has, and it adds quite a bit to the missions. If you're bored of what FB gives you in terms of single players campaigns, buy it and get ready for D-Day. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Sweet, ok so I want to get this, I havn't seen this at stores that sell games, unless I am blind and Lord knows I am http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

So next I would like to ask once it's installed could I still play online?
Also if and when I find BoB could I install both?

Here's the deal: Since BOE is basically a mission pack, I (who don't have BOE) can play online on servers that are hosted with BOE missions. The missions are transferred anyway, there is no sourcecode difference after installing BOE.

IF you find BoB, let us know. Predicted release date is late 2005, and that's optmistic! When you do find it, it's not going to be compatible with anything, thank goodness.

BOE is indeed very good. You can purchase it at www.justflight.com (http://www.justflight.com)

It looks good but haven't bought it because in my town it's nearly 3 times the price of AEP.

I like the idea of BOE but somehow, I don't like justflight receiving my money for it. Sory, this might be just personal but, I just hate the endless stream of expensive FS and CFS add-ons they keep on producing. All of them giving you a single or, sometimes two, aircraft wich you pay for like it was a standalone game. Of course all of them are must haves.

Anyways, I intend to never buy from justflight again.

Just the thought of Il-2 FB AEP ending up like CFS, with numerous expensive add-ons with sometimes doubtable quality. I would much rather empty my wallet for the upcoming PF.

BOE cost me 15. That 15 would not even cover a few hours out in a pub or buy you 80 cigarettes here in the U.K.

I can asure you it is a quality ad-on & money well spent as far as I'm concerned.
I do understand where your coming from though with CFS/FS2000-4. It seems endless.

BOE was put out by Starshoy & Red Rocket Games. JustFlight is just the distributor. He is the person who did the original DGen program which took the place of scripted campaigns in IL2 and he worked with Maddox to produce BOE and bring us the Western Allies. They are complimentary products asd opposed to 3rd party addons like Justflight carries for CFS2/3

BOE is no more perfect than the DGen program itsself, but it does add the US & British Allies to the campaign system. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
