I read a topic re: UFO's and it made me remember a program I saw some time back regarding 'rods'. Really interesting and some quite astounding footage and photo's. Plus these things travel _really_ quick and do things flight-wise that no plane or insect can do, i.e. reversals at v.high speed and flightpaths involving 90 degree bends. Anyone care to speculate as to what they may be?

I think they are Alien spy kit http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I dunno about the Baghdad pic but the others show "bugs." you know, little insects flappin their wings at high speed, creating an illusion. Duh.

heh - knew this would get a debate going http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The documentary about them was pretty good, they aren't all small, some are huge - like 40/50ft long. They analyzed the video at some University to try and determine what they are and firstly, the tapes are genuinely undoctored and they aren't insects, they don't know what they are.

I recall one pic of a HUGE rod that impressed me. The pic was silvery long rod against clear sky. You could just barely see two dark slightly elongated Patches on either side. The Patches were where wing meets fuselage of commerical airliner high above. In some lighting conditions and aircraft positions, you can see the fuselage but not the wings even if the aircraft is above you flying horizontal.

Granted, this pic may have been presented as "rod" to discredit the Rod Movement, much like short sunset contrails over the horizon are presented as "UFO." I actually saw that on TV once: UFO Proof for TV was a short orange stick floating just above yellow sunset/sunrise horizon. Contrail about 200km distant. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

It might just be me but it seems that most of the pictures at the second site can be explained by pulling ones head out of his (or her) *** and using some common sense. Although the "flying snakes" and "flying vertibrae" seem rather odd it also seems odd that a person could spend the time to take the pictures of them without reaching out to grab it or something. It claims they move at the pace of a walking person, now if I saw something like that flying around, my first instinct would be to follow it, not only talking pictures but trying to capture it as well. As for the Airplanes and Helicopter section, most of these are clearly just the sun reflecting off of the airplanes and helicopters.

A quote from the site: "See the wings on this airplane?! They're lighted up in broad daylight!"

They seem to have discovered a stange orb in the sky that mysteriously lights up objects during the day called the SUN! Some people...
