It seems weird that quite some time ago now when I first started getting interested in these forums, there were alot of very committed and helpful people around. I like a good sense of humour mixed in with some understanding and tolerance toward other people.

Lately however there seems to me to be alot of idiots around with nothing better to do than **** other people and play childish jokes. what's the go lately with this trolling B*LLSH%T? As I said, no problem with a sense of humour, but humour shouldn't come at other peoples expense.

It also seems harder now to express a personal opinion without having the thread locked. Am I now dealing with a bunch of paranoid sooks? I read things and opinions from time to time that I don't agree with or that I could take offence to, but I tolerate it because others are entitled to an opinion and may express it as long as I get a chance occasionally to express mine. I dare not mention the "S" word this time for fear of being labelled a faschist or something to that effect and having the thread locked. Maybe you fellas could give me that magic key for a while so I could lock any threads that don't make me feel all warm and fuzzy.

All b*tc#ing aside, I appreciate that a mod's job is no easy task and with all the cr@p going on lately, must make some wonder why they take it on. Yes it is a privately owned forum and yes there is alot of cr@p and b*tc#ing going on lately (including mine). I do hope this site doesn't head the way of so many others as I really have enjoyed just browsing through it in the past.

Sincerely

Gwanna

The deal is that a whole bunch of people that normally don't post here (though they used to be regulars in the past) have too much time on their hands and figured they'd have some fun by stirring up a bit of commotion here. They'll get bored with it in a couple of days and go back to their usual haunt I imagine http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif.

If you see a thread locked where it seems some innocent new member has been treated too harshly by the mods, chances are it's one of these miscreants rather than a real new player. Since most of the fun-makers are old hands and the moderators know the other venue that they're all coming from they're not really as anonymous or innocuous as it seems to the regular forum member.
