I'm betting this'll turn into a 10 page flamewar before you know it.

But it will be cool to have limited Korean war scenarios since we'll have F4Us, etc. and the russian planes needed to simulate Korea!

Russia only declared war on Japan in 1945, a few weeks before the Abombs were dropped in a blatant attempt to share the spoils of victory from an obviously beaten country...

Russians were supplying eq. and "observers" to the Mongolians, who were at war with Japan in the early days, hence the I-16s, BA-6s, etc the Japanese fought in late '30s early '40s

Well, Russia was already promised rights in Manchuria, all of Sakhalin, the Kurile Islands and recoginiton of Mongolia back at Yalta in Feb 1945. Sure, it was a land grab, but an allowed one. Also The Soviets invaded on August 9th, after the first A bomb was dropped.

Russia did supposedly attack the Kuril Island of Shimushu after August 15th when there was a cease fire, and there was some bloody fighting there until a seperate cease fire was brokered with Russia.

The Soviets declared war on Japan after Germany was defeated, as per their agreement with the remaining allies.

You can't knock them for living up to their agreement.

You can knock the remaining allies for agreeing to such terms in the first place.
