Hello,

I got a question here and I think you overlooked it in my previous thread, but okay:

How do you uninstall/delete your video card driver so you can install a new one?

That's all!

Thanks

Well, it's according to what kind of card you have. If you're using ATI and you plan on updating 3.5 to 3.6, I prefer just to install it over the other driver.

Nvidia on the other had, you need to go to the hardware section of the properties of My computer and choose to uninstall the driver. There is also a program you can get that removes all of the nvidia files keeping XP from reinstalling them on reboot. I don't know where it's located, you'll have to search google for it.

My system:

AMD XP 2400+ @ 2.13 Ghz
1 gig of Corsair DDR PC2700 RAM @333Mhz
Radeon 9800 Pro video w/TV out core @434, mem @720
Windows XP SP 1
Microsoft Directx 9.0a
Antec TruePower TrueBlue True480 PSU
16x Antec DVD drive
24x10x40 Plexwriter CD-RW
1 Westerndigital 40 gig harddrive, master
1 Westerndigital 100 gig hdd, slave
XFX KT400 ALH Via mainboard, 4-in-1 4.48
All in my modded "Spiderman" case!

Hello,

can you install a driver w/o uninstalling the previous driver? I'm talking about nVidia GeForce3 Ti 200 41.09 Driver. It says there is another driver installed but I deleted every nVidia-file on my pc with Nasty File Remover 0.7 !
But okay, if I ignore that, I install the driver, but when it comes at 31%, it says: The software for the hardware : GeForce3 Ti 200 doesn't meet up to the demands of the Windows(r) Logo-test, that checks the compatibility with Windows(r) XP

Can you help me out/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif , because this is the only thing I have to do and then I can FINALLY play Splinter Cell!/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Right. For nvidia drivers they are never XP signed, so you just click continue anyway and it'll install the rest of the driver.

read my thread on uninstalling drivers in xp. You have to disable automatic update first.
