Do these fellows have explosive projectiles? How do they shape up against the mg 151/20's?

To me they seem faster, higher velocity, and perhaps they hit hard, but they are not hitting for me yet http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif I need to practice with them. The 151's give a nice flashy cloud that may or may not do anything (on that particular occasion), but always makes me feel better.

The shvak, compared to MG151, has...

higher ROF
higher velocity
smaller shell
higher % of AP shells
less explosive in HE shells
less dispersion

Because there are more AP shells, it is generally better at busting motors, wing spars, and penetrating armor. If you hit in the cockpit/engine/fuel tank area, you will generally get better results than MG151.

Fennec, no pilot does survive a 20mmHE shell explosion in his pit. Generally HE does have more effect on an a/c than with AP ammo has. 99% of a a/c is non-protecected area.

Higher kinetic energy has lesser effect on the target(soft targets as a/c are) than higher chemical energy has. Further you can easily egalize higher muzzle velo. with using larger HE charge.
