...tend to be too accurate. one simple thing would make em more realistic, short delay for their fire correction. like 0.5-2 second delay, like normal ppl have. now they correct fire instantly, no matter how u jink they always hit.
another nice thing what would make them more realistic is delay when they notice u, it could chanse for 0-10 sec. that would be needed for side fuselage gunners which see target only short time, now they "wait" enemy guns pointed exactly in right position to plane to pop on LOS.
sorry again for lousy english http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif)

They don't always hit, however it's WHAT they hit that can make you cry. Both the aaa and the ai gunners tend to have a relatively high hit percentage of critical hits, such as killing a pilot, an engine or rip a wing off, even a one-shot-total-destruction is possible.

However, I think overall both the aaa and the ai gunners are ok, tuning them down would render them useless.
The only really effective "fix" would be an overhaul of the ai routines for aaa and gunners, but I guess this is rather complex.
And again, I think overall it's ok, as both the hit rate itself and the effects of scored hits always vary.

when in range of AA & AI gunners a slight change of course every few seconds improves survivability dramatically. what seems out of balance is the aggressiveness of gunners in some planes compared to others, For example the Ju-87 gunners are quite aggressivehttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif compared to Bf-110 gunners who seems to suffer from Narcolepsyhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif.

Yes. I used to ignore the high flak, the one where you just see the black explosion of smoke. Then I saw it get closer... and closer... and BAM!

Changing course every few moments work wonders. As for AI gunners... Well I fly allied and I`m VERY afraid of HE111 and Stuka gunners. I almost always everytime try a simultaneous attack with my two wingmen in the hope that the gunners don`t all aim at me, or it`s usually, engine gone, wing gone, or head gone! Even with my B & Z attacks.

But I don`t think it should be changed. The gunner`s were already `dumbed` down with the patch, you should have seen how accurate they were before. Any less and they would be too ineffective.

This is beating a dead horse since I have said this to Oleg and he personally said it will NOT be changed.. but just as an opinion:

AI reargunners should not hit you if you attack the bomber from the front and zoom past his tail. ATM they hit instantly and since the range is short they do terrible damage. There is no way in the world anyone could accurately shoot at a plane going 800km/h the other way.. especially if you dont see it coming http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif In another instance we attacked a lone pe2 with 2 experienced wingmen in 109f4:s and the rg shot us all up in two passes http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif) Those planes do NOT need escorts http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif It is also extremely difficult to kill the rg even in planes that didnt have protection for them. Anyways, dead horse http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
