Haven't had a chance to play the patch yet - won't be for 24 hours at least... so I'd appreciate a bit of feedback.

How's the spit dive speed now? A IX should be able to go pretty fast before stuff starts flying off. And I believe the V was undermodelled before - is it better than 740 now?

I´ve got 700 km/h in a dive with both, Vb and IX, without hanging up... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I have the tech manual for the IXc, but not the pilot's which would provide the safe dive limits. I hit 760 kph in a dive tonight, noticed some 'virutal buffeting' and backed off. The 109G's and K should still outdive it. But so far, the IXe and HF both climb and turn much better than the V. Firepower on the "e" is much greater. Like the real variant, the patch IX is a big step over the V in FB.

Spit IX can withstand 820-840kph dive. It loses mariginally to G6's (and later variants) (860kph) but wins G2 (800kph).

I got to 850kph last night before losing an aileron and both elevators in a mk.IXe HF. I could still get back to base and land in one piece.

Another guy in the same server said he got to 890kph before the wings came off. Then I read in the chat window "guy crashed" so I take it he didn't make it back to base http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I`ve altered the settings nearer to realistic, and tried a few planes to see what speed they started to break-up from a height of 10000 with no throttle.
Spitfire IXc 840
P47 D-27 1020
P51D-20NA 910
Me109 K-4 900
Don`t think it proves much, except I had far to much time to kill this afternoon.
