Best little touches are:

- the soccer stadium
- the outhouse
- the heart shape on the door of the outhouse (reminds me of one that I've seen/visited before)

Worst touches:

- RAF symbols/colors not correct
- TB-3 pencil stays on table despite being inverted http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

+Bullets (low cal) ricocheting off of the IL2! Dropped my jaw first time I saw it.

I recently discovered that roads are "landable" like runways: smooth. Now I try to make wheels down landings on roads if I no longer have power, rather than wheels up in a field. Nice touch, I think.

As it should be in any flightsim worth it's name... not like in LOMAC where you're turned into a big fireball as soon as you touch ground http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

A nice touch in lo-mac is that when I ran off the runway and across a field over a road and onto the beach the nose rose and fell with the waves as the came up the beach... who's gunna find that?? (me excluded http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif )

My "little touches" are the AI pilots chatter. Back in the original IL-2, for example, the AI Romanian pilots in the German fighter campaigns spoke German (the default "blue side" language). I copied the same IL-2 campaign to AEP, and now the Romanians speak their native language.

The cockpit light switch in the P-63 is actually animated. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

The swiveling tail wheels on most a/c. You even see the fuselage tilt as the tail wheel turns 180 degrees! Now that's a "little touch"!!

Another is watching the aileron balance tabs on the IL-2 move with the aileron.

Oxigen masks donned above 3 or 4000m!

Landing gear retracting/extending at different rates on some a/c.

AI pilots looking around their cockpits at enemy a/c.

Oleo sturts compressing and extending during taxi.

I give up, there's too many of these little gems to remember.

The spent ammo casings are necked down like real ammo casings. I even got a pic somewhere.

The worst touch is your nose touching Oleg's butt. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif

In a zero I went down real low to finish a buffalo and hydroplaned my wing off the surface of the water. It remained intact and I flew away unharmed. After watching the track there was a cool wake left in the water as well.
