Except me. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Its a challenge to fly, but I like it. It handles well, turns great but its slow. Its DM is lousy too, no visual damage..I flew in a server yesterday that had it in a non historical planeset. Got killed by a Yak 9T. Hmmmmm. guess the later Yaks and LaGGs can turn inside it....

I wish I had the facilities to host. Would like to fly historic missions vs early hurricanes and Gladiators.

Hi Mike. Stop by our server after the release of the dedicated server. I've just finished a historical map that includes Cr42 & (limited) G.50's against Gladiators and Hurricane Mk1's.

Should be fun.

I have a cool .pdf article on the scenario if you're interested. PM me with your email and I'll send it to you to read.

Go to MySpace/private topics and add me as a contact. Choose to start a private topic with me, jot down your email and send....I think.

Heck, let's try it and see what happens, then we'll both know!

Yea, I am flying it in an offline campaign. It's ok except for one thing. Well maybe I should say two things?? You have no way to see the runway at all, which makes taking off and landing both very iffy. In real life you could have leaned over to one side. I truly hate that part. Other than that it's no bad. But certainly nothing to write home about. I can get kills in it, that's the most important thing. But I can get more kills in the P-11C, so that's not good. The new P-11C can kill I-16s like they're going out of style.

I fly the G50 online. Go to Hyperlobby and the Virtual pilots 2 Server has J8, G50, I16, I153, Hurricane and early Migs. There are some class J8 pilots there. My attempts at G50 are sweeping passes as it bleeds E so quickly in TnB, and it climbs like cr*p. Also take off is an adventure as you can't see diddly squat over the nose. I keep ripping off the u/c on the rough stuff when I stray off line.

VP2 server has lots of rollercoaster DFs and is spiffing fun.

Biggest gripe with the freccia is no fuel guage. I was playing virtual pilots 1 Finland, and I normally take 50% fuel. Was just patrolling over the harbor and lost track of time. Bingo! out of fuel had to ditch....lol.

I got some iteresting screen shots of the p11. Had it on arcade mode. Roughly 20+ arrows through the engine, pilot fuel tank ect... she still flies on!!! I cant figure out how to post it though....

Its a nice plane for early war ( and i mean early war :P), remember G-50 is missing over half of its machine gun rounds, so after the patch it should become bit more effective.. I think G-50 should be able to outturn even Yaks.. it was a very nimble plane

As Prangerman says, give Virtualpilots 2 a go. Fantastic server.

It's a different world, with Moscas, Bresters, MiG-3s and Freccias doing the B&Z usually left to the later planes in other servers. And then you also get J8As vs Chaikas in a 100% historical context. Endless hours of fun http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The G.50 is certainly very good against the Hurri I. It can turn with the Hurri and its heavy MGs do plenty of damage.

You have to turn though, I hate turning. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

Haddock/Stiglr - I look forward to seeing you in the Virtualpilots 2 server. I love flying the I153 now. Getting the lovely J8 in my sights and spraying it, or flying the G50 and catching an unaware I16 pilot is real absorbing fun.
