Are you holding backwards key while doing it by any chance

the reason im asking is that i noticed sometimes if you pres backwards before hiting heavy the some characters do slide backwards a little, but its not something i can replicated 100%

Ya ik what your talking about I do it somtimes. But ik when that happens I'm holding the back button cuz I'm unsure about the heavy I'm about to do. When I knock someone down I'm Def sure the heavy is a safe one. I think it happens when I'm getting hit by someone else I think somehow they are in the way and for some reason my warden walks backwords cuz of it. But I had ppl hitting me from side and it still dose it so idk. But i think it mainly happens in multi combat

It may be a bug. If you have a video or clip of it, please submit it to support (https://support.ubi.com/en-us/Games/4315) along with a bug report as that will go a long way in helping us as we investigate.

It is a bug. It's been happening to me as well and I've seen it quite a few times. Even happened during last warriors den when devs were playing. When you or your opponent change places quick enough the game doesn't register positioning as it should and takes a second or 2 to adjust. Unfortunately you have already moved back and out of range by the time the game realizes it.

I've had something similar on my Valk.

After the foot sweep my overhead heavy falls short of the downed opponent sometimes. Shes rank10 so I know how to play her hehe

No lol when you try to land a top heavy (idk if it's any other heavy. I personally never had a problem with side heavy but I also never used side heavy on a knocked down oppenent) you will somtimes slide backwards
