I have never played the game, the reviews have kept me off... up until this day I only played the demo and it was running terrible on my computer, I assume because it was a demo. But all in all and after all this time I want to ask

is it worth it to pay the 30+ price for the game?
if so, where should I buy it? (through Steam or via physical copy in CD)

thanks

My opinion is that this game is great for singleplayer if you are able to endure some bugs which have not been fixed (hopefully they will be by the community in the future).

However, you need quite high system requirements to play this game.

From what I know, MP is quite unstable.

Yes, it really dependt on your target.
If you plan play mainly campains and single games with AI - then maybe the game would be Ok for you.

But if you want to play multiplayer - you will need to solve lots of technical issues (for example setting your router and internet security in order to open some specific ports) manually. And even after that big maps are still unstable.

at the end, I have decided not to buy it.

I have been reading, the problems start by even trying to launch the game from steam.... I'm not looking forward to the stress.. and then if it bugs and stuff.. no way.

I'll wait till some company buys the title and does Heroes 8 correctly.
