After many hours of thrashing around in the Gladiator I just noticed that the cockpit trim indicator reacts to trim application. The wonders in this game never end! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Hey Bear,

What exactly is supposed to be animated with the K14? I've watched the gunsight and surrounding areas while making adjustments but danged if I don't see anything going on.

Hey Bear, I'm just as clueless as Astro on this one. Could you give us a quick synopis? With 2 preteen daughters I consider myself lucky to have enough time to fly at all <ggg.> All the best, LongHorn

Astro and Longhorn, try setting up the K-14 for say; FW200 Condor, and you see the indicator goes to the correct position, and that the ring of the diamond expands to the correct wingspan of that planetype. Default controls are Shift+B for toggling between sight types. Shift+L and Shift+R for toggling between planetypes. Read the Control list in the game for further info.
Puzzels me though that FW had bigger wingspan than a 109, did it really?? ( must admit, I never checked)

WouldnÔ┬┤t suprise me. Somebody whose name I donÔ┬┤t recall once posted a jpg that showed an aerial view of all the fighters in the game. Some of the aircraftsÔ┬┤ sizes were surprising. The 109 is definitely much smaller than youÔ┬┤d imagine.

FW-190 = 10,50 m
ME-109 = 9,97 m

The K-14 is pretty cool to watch in action, especialy the knobs in the cockpit turning, but I dont use it, it clouds my judgement and crowds the gunsight... but I dont doubt if you use it properly, it could be very effective...

Countdown to 1337 post count = P minus 109

Actually when you look in the aircraft wiever on the frontpage here, it says Fw-190A-8 has a wingspan of 10,5 meters and Me-109G-10 and 14 has 10,6 meters, and I guess the K-14 used late war planes as reference...(109K-4 just under 10 meters though) not that it matters much, just wondered.

Just like a lot of other details (makes you wonder about the stuff you can't verify, eh) the front page viewer is a little bit wrong. All my sources (including Jane's, though it's probably biased) list all second generation 109 wings (except H and Z) as 9,924m span. (Long pause http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif ) I'll stop right there. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
