I'd just like to thank Luthier for clearing up the compatability issue right off the bat. The fact that there are already 3 pages of topics on the second day of this forum speaks volumes about this community, both good and bad. Any time that you have a group of people that are this passionate about something you are bound to have a bunch of folks flying off the handle at the very git-go. Lets give the PF team a break and let them work on this game rather than put out fires in the community. This sim has the potential to be the best yet of the IL2 series. Lets not ruin it before it gets a chance.

Dear Luthier,

I would also like to say THANK YOU! I see alot of people complaing here about this and that. I know that is par for the course. Not everybody will be happy.

Hell, I know there are aircraft that I would like to see flyable also. But I am just happy about getting a Pacific based WW2 sim. I have been waiting for this forever. I cannot wait to be able to fly torpedo/dive bombing/ level-bombing missions. And who said some of these planes could not be added at a later date.

As far as the 16 maps is concerned this will be great also. I cannot wait to see Pearl Harbor and Singapore. With the detail of the IL-2 series I bet they will all be breath-taking.

Well anyways keep the updates coming.

Thanks guys, I know the majority of people out there feel like you do. I'm just trying to calm down the folks who get too emotional - I know if I don't address their concerns it may spill out to more and more people and create the wrong impression.

I have a very thick skin, and I've got my asbestos suit on, so bring it on everybody! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Luthier, like the sig. I guess we can expect the Buffalo and Wake Island.

The chatter is just background noise. Silence from this group would be far worse!

The only time you have to worry is if they ever get quiet. Right you are.

Congrats Luthier,

Its been a long road, seems almost like yesterday we where trading posts on the old Dogfighter.com boards long before IL-2 even came out.
Spirited debates about realism, (Padlock disable button) and many other fine topics http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I've always felt that a spin off of the IL-2 brand
in the Pacific Theatre of Operation with Carrier landings would really catapult the IL-2 series in MEGA-SALES beyond any other Enhancement.
I'm glad someone listened.

Thank You.

Playablility / longevity of a flightsim almost always ends up with MP features making or breaking it. Carrier based battles online invokes the single most important aspect missing
in online play....DEFENSIVE POSTURE.
Having your landing strip open to a well placed torpedoe or two, or a nice load of aeriel bombs CHANGES EVERYTHING. An engagement that ends when the other side has no place to land their AC, makes one think long & hard everytime they pull thier gear up after taking off the flatops.

Please promise yourself <G> to remember this very important feature in designing online play.

It'll give the sim LEGS that stretch literally forever.

Thanks Again!
And I'll be at the store the first day it goes on sale, glad to pay your asking price, no bardering, I promise!

Best of Luck,
Rattler of The Outlaws
