I must say that those are pretty good photos. Color photographs of Italian warplanes during WWII are rare, to say the least.

I've seen a post on a previous thread about various Italian aces from WW2 - a fair amount had decent kill totals.

Curious who and where such aces mostly fought. Really never have seen much info on this in my travels.

North Africa, over Italy? Did any fly out east in support of the Italian regiments fighting the USSR?

Skychimp, if you or anyone has any info or can share a URL I'd appreciate it.

Aaaah Chimp,

Beautiful pics .... you can almost smell the wine and garlic. MMMMM very neat I really like the setting with the dirt strips and grassy parking area. The olive trees very romantic.

I look forward to cruising in the Italian aircraft.

Happy hunting and check six!

Thanks SkyChimp...

The Italian aircraft are very good looking, and, underrated.
