I have been experimenting with the cockpit views - by using the (designated) keys I have been widening/narrowing the cockpit views.

I have now settled on the following:

Wide(est) view: for take-off and general orientation in "finding" the enemy in the air

Normal view + 5 "widening" keystrokes (there is a total range of 12 keystrokes)for aiming ie this setting amounts to 9 keystrokes of the total of 12 - I reckon this setting is pretty close to reality when looking through the gunsight - any comments?

If you have a X45. Put your zoom on your rocker. Very sweet and fast.

I have settled on one HOTAS button for Wide view (my preferred default view), and one for Toggle FOV, which gets me To Gunsight or Normal views quickly when I want 'em.

cheers

Ive got my 3 default views on a 3 way switch... and F1 is on my hat with CTRL/SHIFT/ALT on my throttle so when I want to adjust my sight..or even view enemy or friendly I just use my hats.

I've put all zooms sequentially on a wheel, so as I roll the wheel my view zoom in and out. Works excellent http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
