Have just had a quick play with the patch, (literally, 15mins before my tea) and I must say I'm quite impressed - the new spits are rather nice as is the A6. (Hmm a clean FW with no ugly bomb rack http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif - wish they'd do that with the A8/9 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif )

Just wondering but I can't see either the mk IX spit or the B25 (Its in game alright as I have shot the things down with the A6!) in the object viewer. I know there is a slight mention of the IX in the V section.... or is it just me?

Also I wonder if they have done anything with the TA 152 apart from fix the night time landing lights ? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif off to play with that next http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifemon:

Isn't it a little late for tea? I thought tea time was in the 4 o'clock hour.

I don't think they had the time to add information on the Mk.IX or the B-25s to the object viewer. Wouldn't be the first time they did that.

Yeah, before the patch, which I'm downloding now, the P-51B and C weren't in there. Just be glad that the planes are there in the first place.

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/351.gif whoah mate, I'm not complaining, not at all - I have just been for a spin in the TA152... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/784.gif

This is a minor observation - was just curious, that's all, I am more than happy with what we got!

There's the breakfast tea.
Then there's the 4 cups at work before lunch.
Then there's the 4 or 5 cups between lunch and leaving work.
After that, you're nearly right, it's the 5 o'clock tea.
Then the 2 cups of tea in the evening.

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/351.gif Lindyman Right on! That about sums it up http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif although if needs must (i.e. gotta keep awake, or wake myself up - in middle of masters Dissertation) then I will substitute tea for coffee where appropriate. Although I do prefer tea.

Haven't played it online so I haven't gotten a solid feel for how things are working out there but I really like whats been done to everything so far.

The P-47 is a great fighter to fly now. I haven't really tested the DM model but the roll rate is now very good...it still feels like a big heavy fighter (which it was) but its much more capable now I believe...plus its firepower is where it should be.

Spitfire IX is a dream come true. Cannons are great, bombs are great, even slipper fuel tanks...nicely done!

P-51D-20 skin bug still isn't fixed...its still got the olive drab color scheme used for the D-5 when we know that a perfectly nice all metal with checkered tail has been done.

B-25's are awesome.

The I-185 is a very interesting fighter. The view is interesting, lead shooting is difficult, firepower is excellent but the cannons are very much in your face and obscure the target while firing. It has average roll, decent turn, and if you yank back too hard it definately stalls out. Its not as nice to fly as a Yak, although it is faster but its high speed manuvering is also slower. I only tried one of the two versions but my feeling is that this may or may not be removed from straight 1942 vs 1942 battles but in any other type of arena is going to be an average fighter with no serious dominating qualities. I'd be mighty surprised if it were banned.

Also flew the P-63C since I fly those alot. Flies the same as before which is just fine and its cannon does seem to fire a little faster. Nose .50cals are more effective due to the fixes done there but overall its the 37mm cannon which still provides the main punch.

Overall my feelings are a big thumbs up and well worth the wait!

When do we start whining for the next patch? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Why don't you folks just switch to coffee. 2-3 cups in the morning and you are wired all day. Of course, a couple of drinks in the evening are needed to counteract the caffeine. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
