Hey I don't see what the big deal is about other flight sims here. It seems whenever someone mentions CFS3 or JAS they are greeting with a chorus of jeers and vulgar things that the latter person did with their copy of said product. Personally I think theres nothing wrong with a little healthy competition. We (the gamers) win.

I played JAS for awhile and it is pretty sweet, the game physic seem sound. Originally CFS3 was an inferior product, but I played the add-on briefly and well, its pretty sweet. Its still not IL2 but its nice to fly some different planes and experiment a bit.

Anyways the point I'm making is that many people here put a hex on anything that isn't made by the 1c crew and I don't get why. We the gamers benefit, IL2 FB and AEP are all hits. I don't thing were gonna see 1c run out of money and whats wrong if Fire Power or KoE can give them a run for their money? A little healthy competition will push UBI to produce a better product. Flight simmers everywhere win.

Thanks.

This always happens. It`s a standard recipe.

1. Someone brings up a post about CFS3, on an IL2 site.

2.CFS3 gets ripped to pieces.

3. Someone speaks up for CFS3 cos they feel sorry for it/want to stand out make name for themselves/ get attention/ bored or actually http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif enjoyed the game.

4. Then someone creates a new post saying `why does everyone pick on CFS3, etc?`

It happens with every subject here. And here we go again...

You are so right SeaFire!

That's is the reason that many experienced pilots only READ these FORUMS. Hat's of to those outstanding individuals (that I only know through posts over the years) like yourself, who continue to post their thoughts. You people have a much stronger constitution than I do. I really do admire you all.

I only have one 'conspircy' theory (being that goverments are too inept to actually carry out a functional conspiricy). That theory would be that UBI GD is actually a front for a group of psycologists who are studying human behavior.

Anyway I read these everyday, sorta of like "National Inquirer" or "Weekly World News". Another addiction of mine.

With that said, I do occasionally pick up "gems". From a virtual pilot perspective, this forum does have value....From an entertainment perspective, it's priceless. Hope they never do away with this site!

S~ to all the "old" hands like yourself!

Oh ****.....I posted!

Sure I agree, competition is always good, the more, the better.I can brag about CFS3 all day cuz when I first saw it I felt so ripped off I couldn`t believe M$ wanted me to buy such ****.
I don`t have a problem with other games being released. The do what they can.

Do you have a problem with other ppl`s opinions?

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gifI agree gombal40 & darkhorizon11... I have a number of Air Sim's and it is only because I Enjoy this type of Gaming.
SeaFireLIV it is not Because I'm trying to make some NAME for myself or because I'm bored with life.
I think each one of the other games has it's own Merits... Good Or Bad.

Lock on! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/784.gif

My lomac can beat your fb, and your cfs3, and your red baron, and your janes and johns! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/crazy.gif

so there. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/mockface.gif

Not sure if I would win a fight with an F15-c in my BF109, but it sure as heck sounds like fun!

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif

But anyway, I actually like both. I have played IL2/FB/Ace a lot longer tho, but it seems that Lomac too starts to grow on me. Now if I only could fly them both at the same time online. weee!

Well i must say i welcome all competition in the combat flight simulation world, but the bar has been raised and they all need to meet IL2's standard for me to even contemplate purchasing.
And the only reason i'm bitter about MCFS3 is, it should have and could have delivered eveything and didnt, its just an also ran...we've moved on now http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

"#2 Attack that ship".."#1..with what?".."#2 your ordnance DAMMIT!".."#1 my ordnance is in Olegs office, same place yours is".."#2 we'd better learn German then"

My suggestion. Mention IL2 in a CFS3 forum and see how welcome you are.

Go into a Mac forum and mention PC and see how welcome you are.

Go into a FORD forum and mention Chevy and see how welcome you are.

This situation is by far not unique.

Someone agrees thanks. Its just immature to assume something is going to horrible when you've never played it before.

Yes Gibbage1, I see your point and also SeaFireLIV... But look at PF new options.
Sliding Canopies, Carrier take off and landings.
Mint Stuff... but wasn't it modeled some were else before????
Maybe some of these Games... helped to bring some of these New Options about? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
All I'm saying is Choice is GOOD!
Oh SeaFireLIV... you forgot two things though!
Add in 1 Cup of Sugar and Two Well Beaten Eggs.
Bake at 350 Degrees for 12 Postings.
Lock Posting and Serve COLD! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Oh yeah PF and carrier landings/take off. *major drool*

I don't know why but I find that one of the most thrilling things ever.

I also love the comments pilots will give about landing on a carrier.

"its not a landing. its a controlled collision."
