Japanese Aircraft fans,
the Japanese publisher DAINIPPONKAIGA have just published two excellent books on the Japanese Army and Naval Air units. The titles are:

I just bought the Army Air Units book and its very good. It is 120 pages and has 90 pages of photos of aircraft from 1913-1945. All of the photos have well written english captions. There are also around 15 pages dedicated to colour profiles, pilot equipment, and ground support equipment. It also comes with a pre-painted 1/100 scale Nakajima Ki-43 Model II Late-production HAYABUSA model and display base. The photos are good quality and show not only aircraft but also ground crew going about their various tasks. Each volume costs 2200 yen so if you live in Japan (i think a few people who post here do http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ) i reccomend grabbing a copy. I checked amazon japan but i couldnt find either book so i dont know how people living elsewhere can get a copy from.
