In QMB took a BL-1 to 25,000m and bailed out. Pilot free-fell for about 8 minutes to `5000 then chute opened and he driften down for another 8 minutes...then RAN AWAY from the landing. Surely the lack of oxygen and frostbite (no gloves) would have killed him...or at least wounded him. Oleg...you've got better things to do than fix this...I just thought it was funny.

8 minute free fall?
Um...

Isn't like terminal V like 200 mph?
That's be like freefalling 26 miles. Or almost 42000 meters per minute.

When sky-diving, your fall rate is approximately 100yd/s (~79m/s). That would make it more like a 5 minute free fall to 5km.

Terminal velocity would change with altitude. At higher altitudes you would fall faster, due to thinner air.

For example the guy who jumped out of a balloon on the edge of space. He was falling faster than sound, until the lower atmosphere slowed him down.

Can you get to 25km from the runway with a B-1 before running out of fuel?
