Hello!

There is an idea to arrange friendly matches between Russian and American Il-2 teams on June 15-22. Matches will take place in Portland, Seatle and Vancouver. If you would like to participate in this event, please mail me as soon as possible to azarov@comtv.ru for further information.

Thanks.

You listed three cities so I'm assuming it would involve us all in one place on a LAN, but then our competitors would appear to live in Russia so I have to ask, could I participate from home? If so, I'd gladly fly on behalf of the Stars and Stripes and I'd recruit a friend as well. If not, then which Portland, ME or NH?

I think you forgot the largest Portland there LeChuck, that would be Portland Oregon, since the other two Cities are Seattle Washington, and either Vancouver BC or Vancouver WA, ( he doesnt state ) I would venture to say that it will be the west coast Portland,

Give me more specifics since I live in Portland I might be interested

Is he russian trying to coax the Gozr thing out of us, or is he implying USA based squadrons load up their PC's and haull arse out west for a LAN partie http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

I'm in Vancouver, WA, 5 minutes from Portland. I've got a slow modem so I've never flown online but if its LAN maybe I could take advantage. That would give the Russians an advantage too. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I'm across the river from you arcadeace.

I'm in a band (the bassist) playing Friday and Saturday night at the Icehouse in Hazeldell.

Yes off Highway 99. I haven't been in a county lounge for a few years now. If I have the opportunity I may quickly stop by, just to see the cool bass player.

In the '70s as a very small boy I remember my older brother playing in local clubs in the greater Boston area. He played bass and was quite good. When he practiced there were times I thought the windows in our house would blow with his Marshal amp. He drove my mom and half the neighborhood nuts.

Its gonna be a great weekend. Stay almost straight, and earn some good bucks. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I live in Dallas, Tx. Does this mean I'll have to get on my horse and ride all the way to Portland Oregon just for the match?

Will there be drinking games there?

Well it might have been a country lounge at one time but now it's a rock bar. We play a mix of late 60's through 70's rock with the odd 80's/90's tune thrown in. No cover. (You can't beat free now can you?)
Maybe I'll see you there. If not, maybe we can fly together if this US/Russia thing works.
