View Full Version : Inconsistency caused by quests for elimination/skirmish

Quests cause game inconsistency in deathmatches due to people leaving when being forced to enter a non-preferred game mode. As a result, players are being replaced by bots, bots will consequently be replaced by players who then leave etc. This generally causes an unstable match environment which isn't appreciated by anyone.

Furthermore, opting for one's preferred game mode is a tedious procedure. It's common to wind up in the wrong mode. The "prefer heart" is not enough. It takes time to wait through character select and match connection before being able to cancel out, rinse and repeat. Having game features (quests) that encourage this meaningless process is beneath contempt.

There are two solutions to this:
1. Create separate queues for each game mode respectively.
2. Have quests apply for both modes.

This problem has been mentioned earlier. But the nature of this problem deepened when skirmish-only quests started to appear in the quest log. I post this as a means to problematize the issue, and if you agree on what's stated here go ahead and sign by leaving a comment.

The should have added a second tab to select a game mode.

They did it with duel and brawl.
