... but when it comes to games....ehhhh

"Accept none of these truths as absolute and we'll do fine."

The first assassins creed showed off their ability to create entire cities for our enjoyment.....then you had the story.....and those damn follow quests.

The division. A contemporary mmorpg with guns in the tom clancy universe. Jesus. That pitch sells itself. The end product however...Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh.

So here comes FH...Take 3 cultures known for their legendary warriors and pit them against each featuring a never before attempted combat system that mimics "real" life.

Whoever the hype man is for the brain trust is on point. No denying it.

But where do we come up short in execution?

FH is a good game.

But is it a great game?

The potential this game had/has is mind boggling. And the small degrees it could change to obtain said potential even more so.

But somewhere, along the line. After multiple years and millions of dollars. Some one just sits down and says "good enough"

I've always been curious if that person sits down with a sigh of relief, or a disgruntled moan.

Rainbow 6 says hi lol

Its arguably one of the best competitive first person shooters out there according many respected game critics.

If you wanna be salty over a certain game or games then go for but don't lump good games in with them.

Hi yenboi3025 - I don't believe anybody on the FH team has ever sat down and been satisfied with "just good enough". Everyone on the team has been working tirelessly before, during and even past launch. We have been actively gathering feedback from the community and looking for ways to incorporate everything you all have to say into improving the FH experience. We've announced several changes already such as the upcoming gameplay changes with the GB counter mechanics, the valkyrie buffs, addressing the PK bug, etc. We've recently added the Middle East region into the European continent for improved matchmaking + connectivity. We've also planned lots of updates to be announced and implemented in the future.

It's only been the first week but the response has been massive - we understand there have been some issues and we are hard at work trying to address all of them. We truly appreciate all your passion and dedication for the game and we hope we can continue to improve and grow and exceed your expectations. We have a long-term commitment to FH and we hope that you all will continue to give us your support in the coming days and far into the future.

While a good start, my concern with this:

We've announced several changes already such as the upcoming gameplay changes with the GB counter mechanics, the valkyrie buffs, addressing the PK bug, etc. We've recently added the Middle East region into the European continent for improved matchmaking + connectivity.

Is it's a tiny drop in the ocean of what needs fixing and improving, and at this rate it may take a year or more of patching and redevelopment of core issues with the fight-model to bring the game up to serious E-Sport status.

We have no ETA on a patch since 7days. The only thing you say is "soon".
You guys go to fix guardbreak when guardbreak was perfectly fine every damn alpha/beta. You ruined it within two days between OB and release build...

So we have a fix about something that worked fine two day before release coming more than one week after release.

Now, what about shugoki bug exploit, what about broken and glitched zone attack who are just way too powerfull and just spammed at high level. What about balance in the matchmaking ( Yeah, I crossed rep 10-16 today, I have a rep 3 account !), what about the free DDOS you can do, and the lag switcher abuse? What about SERIOUS balance issues like the block speed not being the same for all heroes ? The warden being about to cancel shoulderbash by GB when you removed it from Warlord (Which is stupid, warlord follow-up from headbut is a single light/almost no damage hit, when the followup from a shoulderbash is a free double hit light or a heavy...)

If you need one week to fix what was not bugged in beta, how many month do you need to fix all thoses glitch/bug and balance ?

The thing is, people are allready bored of this, there's massive glitch and exploit, and the single patch you announce have almost no fix in it. If this patch coming just fix guardbreak, fix berserk/conq and up valkyrie, there will be a massive population drop for this game. One week into release with no ETA on such massives glitch are unforgivable.

For the most part, yeah - I've been disappointed by nearly every game Ubisoft has made in recent years. Even the amazing ones were a let down in some fashion. Wildlands is the worst one to date, but For Honor is definitely living up to expectations for me. This game is amazing and it's hard to believe it came from Ubisoft. A few issues that need ironed out, but a solid A+ to be sure.
