Because, it's totally reasonable that the class can attack at a speed consistently faster then a normal human could react to. Or even the players ability to block and attack in response. Meanwhile they can run whenever they want, and can sidestep spam and backpeddle without any kind of repercussions, like every assassin class.

But hey, clearly the entire community just needs to get better because randoms on the internet say it's reasonable to parry a ceiling fan while it constantly flies around you. Clearly, just like how randoms on the internet say sidestep attacks can be avoided when they currently cannot. But perhaps that is the real reason why games never get balanced, not because of incompetent developers but because random fools online protest to things they do not understand.

At least they are buffing the Valkyrie. Oh wait, the Valkyrie is already overpowered if you spam their abilities, like every other class. So now the players that abuse the class will get to be even more overpowered; because instead of limiting how much the game can be abused the developers are increasing how easy it is for new players to use. Making the meta even stronger.

Great. 10/10, do not restrict anything in the game. Let the community decide how poisonous it can be. It is not like games better then this have been ruined by their inability to balance the online. Clearly the solution is to not try at all.

This is a tricky issue... do you design the game to be an esport or appeal to everyone. Reactions are less of an issue to the top skilled players, and a huge issue to the majority. It follows that certain classes (Assassins, orochi and pk in particular) will dominate at lower levels.

Certain classes will dominate at every level, because certain classes have obvious advantages.

Well, the Warden has a rushing attack meta combo, with a high counter and dual side strikes as reasonable bonuses.

The Orochi has a backstep rush that comboes into two additional hits; while having a faster attack and combo speed then every other class. They also can land heavy attacks through guardbreaks, and can land instant hits by parrying. They also can sidestep to land instant hits as well, and can run and dodge faster then other classes allowing them to backpeddle with ease.

No it's, certain classes have more meta then others; which makes them always win.

Balance will hopefully develop over time. I think it's a bit unrealistic to expect balance right now.

Every assassin can be reacted to with ease for the top 10% of players. The warden, PK and Oro zone attacks are the toughest in the game to react to. But these can become predictable, and parriable, to high level players. In the case of warden it is unsafe - a blocked zone can be punished with a gb.

The challenge is in designing combat benefits for heavy classes. It's doable. The trick being, it has to be designed around what the best players can do with each class. How do you even find those people until the game has been out for a while?

Yeah, of course the top 10% of players can react to everything. Those are the basement dwellers applying for esport leagues so they can acquire get-out-of-life free cards for playing a pointless game.

The point is making the game playable for the actual human race, which is the primary demographic of this product. Not the pathetic minority that protests balance issues online because they have mega l33t reaction times and think they are worthwhile organisms because they know all the poisonous strats to give them the high KDs.

From the beginning, the game should not even be geared towards that, no game should and most games are not. That's MOBA garbage. It was clear from the closed alpha that the assassin classes were overpowered because of their attack speed. It was clear from the closed alpha ganking was out of control, and there was no punishment for attack spam. It was clear from the closed alpha that every class could spam their unique abilities and become overpowered. Nothing was changed, nothing was fixed; meanwhile Orochi dominated the leaderboards. The developers are simply fools.

You sound bitter and angry, relax dude. You sound like a corporate shareholder. I disagree.

Well. If you look on threads talking about it; you can find all manner of players agreeing how sidesteps and fast classes are overpowered.

But when I post threads, all the ignorance saying all of this is just fine suddenly shows up.

No, I'm not particularly fine with an entire game being unplayable because of how bad it is, especially when I paid for it as well. But then again, you can just inflect emotions onto what I type so that you can just reply in single sentences. Even though the fact you disagree at all proves you are obviously not intelligent enough to be able to decipher emotion from text.

Game is trash. Unfortunately my posts just seem to always draw out all the rats.

This is like the 8th thread you've started or replied to about how you have slow reaction time. Maybe spend more time practicing and less time keyboard warrioring? You'd likely be better at the game.

If you feel the game is trash, stop crying on a message board. You sound hysterical and ridiculous. It's only $60. They delivered a great game that isn't suited for you. Bummer.
