I am amazed, I decided to try the old P.11c and WOW!!
I mean at least compared to what it used to be like anyway.
It used to barely even fly but now it's actually a capable little thing. I tried a QMB against 4 "ace" AI planes with me and three AI buddies and I kicked their butts. I got three of four of them but of course one must consider that even the so-called ace level AI doesn't use the correct tactics, especially when they fly 109s. But try the Polish fighter, you may be as surprised as I was. Actually almost fun to fly it. Doubt I'll start a campaign in the thing though. Seems to me it like it used to have about 200 lbs. of lead in it and old Oleg and team decided to jettison it when they did the patch.

I have flown the P.11, but it is too slow to catch up to the oftentimes cowardly A.I. opponents. Otherwise it's quite a spiffy little plane.

For me the P.11 has always been fairly acrobatic. It hasn't changed as far as I can tell. The DM is a bit spotty now though. After the patch it took quite a few direct flak hits which it couldn't do before the patch. The only death I've had in one is engine damage. I almost think engine damage is the only damage modelled in the P.11 now.

I would disagree that it hasn't changed, did you ever try to climb in it prepatch or in IL2?? It was almost incapable of anything but a really shallow climb.

I'm not really that upset over this over sight...I think it's kinda funny that the unlikeliest of planes is now virtually invincible(unless you get a engine or pilot hit). Honestly, I can't tell a difference in FM. For me it's always been fun to fly...

On my first online session after the patch came out I hopped in one and shot down a 262 amongst other things before I got rammed /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Yes, i was playing tonight online with some mates and was constantly shot down so i did go mad and started to fly P-11c as a joke, heheh my mates were dying in laught as i spotted one 109 flying low so i tought whatta hell and did get it on crosshair and pulled triggers...not long and it did go down to sea, heheh...damn i was amazed and so were my mates but after that i crashed on trees in nearby island and tought it wasnt that bad plane so i took off again with it, this time i shot down one 109 and did cut other ones control cables, and when was headoning with BW my wheel did crash on his tail and he did go down without rudder, but i managed continue flight without wheel /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif how did i land you ask..thats another story /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
