View Full Version : Technical white papers about P2P architecture

I found the overall idea about game instance balancing across multiple P2P hosts fascinating. Do developers have any plans on publishing the details on architecture in any form?

I do assume that reverse engineering of this particular topic is quite possible, yet some internal mechanics would be rather hard to guess, for example, how to you distribute the workload? Have you built the internal engine in a way that simultaneous logical threads (AI, physics simulation for object X ..) are simply delegated to different workers? Or you split full pipeline to a particular peer? Also, since the game is capped at 8 peers (correct me if I am wrong), does your technology allows more peers to share the work?
