What should it be set too?! I had tried to no aval,I left off on 800.0.Is it the lower you go in convergence the longer the shoot or is the other way around?

keep around 400 for cannons to start, 300 for mgs.
As you improve try 300 for cannons and 200-250 for guns. Then adjust to taste!

I was having the same proublom.

When do you start to fire on your enemy .20, .30 .40, meters. if the icon says .30, that means 300m. 1.3 is 1.3km. So if you fire at 20m or .20km set the convergance to 200m. 30m set to 300m convergence.

150 for cannon, 200 for MG in german planes. The Hurricane and the polikarpovs can spray and pray PK's from as far as 700 meters. The rest of the russkies are somewhere in between. But the patch will change some things on this department as well.

Depends on the plane and guns it carries.

P-39: Mg's 200 cannon 100
109's: 300/200 (30mm always to 100)
P-47/40: 250
FW: 200/200

That's about all I fly.

300yards is historical range. Set your machine guns to 300m and your cannons to about 250..seems to do the trick.

For aircraft with nose mounted cannons like the Yaks, LAs and 109s I prefer a convergence of 650 meters because it allows my shells to arc up at a manevuering target as so I don't have to pull as much lead when I am firing at my opponent.

whatever convergence you choose rememeber if you are firing closer than you seet shoot under the target and if you ae firing at a longer distance than convergence is set shoot above the target
