View Full Version : Ship damage...torps and bombs?

Will PF feature the ability to SINK ships with torpedoes or by dive bombing? What will the damage model be like? Without this feature, the game will just be fighters vs. fighters or fighters shooting down bombers...I hope Oleg is able to model this damage effect better than in IL2/FB/AEP...

If we can't sink ships in these vast oceans it seems like a big waste of modeling resouces.

We will be able to sink´em for sure...
Now how just complex the Damage Model will be regarding Ships, nobady knows for sure, so we´ll have to wait and see...

Sure hope that its better than FB´s thow....

I think the ships should have unique sinking "types" if you will. Like a hit to the side will cause it to capsize, a hit to the front may cause the back end to rise 100ft in the air

what i want to know is whether or not the ships will 'list' a little bit, and then stop if somehow the 'crew' manages to contain the flooding, would be kinda cool to torp a Carrier in Multi, then watch planes slide off it, though it raises the question, do you get the kill for those planes *evil cackle*
